Well I was a bit confused regarding this,
A friend of mine owns a 1301 beetle.
The rims on his ride are different with 5 stud rims,
You changed the setup to fit in 4 stud rims or do these rims come as a standard in super beetles?
I examined the rims on my visit and they looked excellent.
4 stud rims were standard in all beetles from the mid-sixties onwards (The vwcop experts will shed more light on the exact year and models).
The rims with my car are the original rims that came with the car, i.e. 15X4.5".
These particular rims have been painted the correct colour for the 1973-1974 1303, i.e. Paint code L97U 'Aluminium Grey' which is slightly different from the L91 Chrome of earlier years. Please see http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/colors/74super.htm
Some Super Beetles (1302/S and 1303/S) did have rims that were 5.5 inch width. In addition there were GT Wheels and Marathon / Baja wheels for the Super Beetles. I have bought Marathon Rims for the car which are lying in the UK and will be brought to Pakistan, one at a time, over the next few months. A net downloaded pic of Marathon rims is below

However, all Super Beetles had 4 stud, 130 PCD, 15" rims.
I hope the information above clears your confusion
