@yaserag
The reason why I've actually posted photos of the '56 Bel Air is because I have access to one, in a decent price. It requires a lot of bodywork and work on the interior, but at the end of the day it DOES have the potential to look like those rides posted above. With an engine like the LS1 (which should commence it's journey to Pakistan in about a week), it'd be something absolutely phenomenal - in looks as well as performance.
That leaves the '64. Which I'd keep regardless, but spend more money on the aesthetics and appearance rather than the drivetrain and mechanicals.
Of course, if @safeershah (Safeer Shah Sb) would be willing to part with his Dodge Challenger I'd be a very happy camper, since the LS1 would go straight into the Challenger, and turn it into a proper fire-breathing beast. The Challenger's lines and shape, etc, are also much suited to the speed freak that this beast must be.
All of this though, is speculation for now. The ground facts are somewhat like this:-
a) There's a '64 Impala, 4 door, pillarless hardtop that's standing with me, and is READY to be rebirthed.
b) There's a '04 LS1, 6.0L 585 bhp 590 lb-ft torque engine that's been purchased and paid for, and IS ON ITS WAY to Pakiland.
c) There's a '56 Bel Air that I have access to, and can lay my hands on IMMEDIATELY.
d) There's a '70 Dodge Challenger, which MAY be available, subj to @safeershah's discretion and willingness to part company with.
To be entirely honest, my preference would be something like this...
a) '70 Challenger (with the LS1) and '56 Bel Air (with a 3UZ), which is the most difficult option (since neither of these cars are "under my belt").
b) '56 Bel Air (with the LS1) and '64 Impala (with a 3UZ), which is the easiest option.
c) '70 Challenger (with the LS1) and '64 Impala (with a 3UZ).
d) '64 Impala (with the LS1) and '56 Bel Air (with a 3UZ), which is also a very easy option.
Let's see how things turn out. The coming few days will be decisive!
And it's good seeing you again, Yaser. Cheers.
