The "fweem" was loud and clear and everyone along the road was turning heads to look at patina which sang this song of life.
Right after the above picture was captured at Adda Baseera near Basti Maluk some 40KMs outside Multan, a Highway Petrol Car came rushing and signaled us to stop. It was kind of odd. I was clearly not happy for being intrrupted.
I pulled patina over to the side and out I came and walked to the petrol. The officer came out and I asked why were we told to stop? He expressed; "Gentleman you are over speeding on N5. You were captured by the speedgun quite a few miles back"
I was like; "Whats the speed limit on N5? I believe I never crossed 120kmph if thats the limit."
He told us that we were captured at 115kmph while the limit on the N5 b/w Multan and BWP was 80kmph for LTV with 90kmph being the highspeed lane limit, while he walked to Patina that was parked at a few yards distance.
Holyshit! I had no clue and there were hardly any signs that I came across saying 80kmph was the limit, I told myself.
While we talked he was keenly looking at the bug and asked me to show him the motor instead of the papers after he asked me what model year was patina.
We chatted like for 10mins the subject was Patina and not the law that we happened to break. After a few sentences on the history of Patina and a few smiles that we exchanged, the officer let us go eventually when he got to know that Patina was heading to 7th Cholistan Desert Rally, at which he looked pretty amused.
And off we went, after we shook hands of the two officers on road side. Only, this time I was more cautious with frequent glances over the speedo to keep our speed in check.
