I can send you one but really take a piece of rubber tube, draw a pattern using the lens as a template and cut carefully..You have a seal...The function of the seal is to..well, seal and it would do nicely. Its going to be tucked away under the lic. plate light cover so other than a few thousand people following this thread, who would ever know?

Now here we have a problem. Last eve, after cleaning the surface rust from the Spare Wheel, I tried to place it in the Spare Wheel Well (the original spot meant for housing the Spare Wheel for Early Beetles) and to my disappointment it just wont fit in. May be because the NOSE is out of shape from the only impact Patina is known to have (as per previous owner) on the left front fender.

But then how can an impact from front on front fender can cause the NOSE to squeeze sideways because the hinderance came from sides and not front of the car?

Before you ask; the tyre on the spare wheel is STOCK size (5.00/5.60-15) which is almost new condition and tyre pressure, I am not sure right now.

Comments please and if there is any other solution other than a Body Job on NOSE please do share.

Here is what seems to be the problem;

Clearly the car has had an impact from the right side and has been repaired as the channel for the decklid seal shows. You can further confirm this by looking at the inside walls of the spare wheel well. The only two options you have are to have it pulled out in the least invasive manner or replace it with a clean front clip
