- btw Im surprised your car has the lower cylinder cooling panels - most bugs had them missing, I had them and a few smaller bits handmade for my super. I made a cardboard drawing and cut/fit then gave it to an oldschool panel beater who cut it from sheet metal and tempered it.
The importance of the tins are paramount if you want to see how reliable the aircooled mill can be. I used to enjoy it on the highway - while people would be amazed at stops saying - bhai iss mein aag nahee lagee ab tak. And an innocent truck cleaner/assistant who was angry that the bug did not use a drop of water for cooling.
