OK guys - I am officially getting irritated by the sentence "mechanic se tune karwao" for fuel injected cars - how can they TUNE it - its an intelligently controlled system that will self adjust.

Totally agreed with that, ad to be honest thats exactly what my local mechanic said and he forced me to get it tuned as he said and it didnt help obviously as it not tunable at all

try and find which ecu is installed..i mean take the pics of top sticker having part no and what it says....!! and also check how many grips there are...!!

@mechanic se tune kawalo...so guys toyota and others got fed up of mechanics in 90's....so they introduce Efi's And Put ECM's which no longer needs any mechanic to manually tune it...your life time partner ecu will do it for you...all you need to do is to take care of that box asking nothing but just good sensors....!!
ECM's are more sensible then our mechanic's b.t.w

100% sure its not a TOYOTA ECU....
Toyota have like 1jz-G written on side and have toyota part no and TOYOTA written..!!

well guys Ive dug around in my little library to find this - but I found a similar pinout diagram I had when I swapped this engines GTE edition in a cressida

anyways

the check light pin should be no.9 on the 34 pin connector just between the 4th and 5th injector grounding trigger - try that with a test lamp equipped with a bulb no more than 1.2 watts (microbulb) or LED with resistor. (btw the wire should be white with red stripe) - to confirm this this wire should not be leading to the Engine but rather would be leading back to nowhere from the ECU

btw what transmission are you running?

Its 4 Speed Auto Tranny From 1jz Itself....!!
I have a look of car today and what to say about wiring......!! i just burn my blood watching that wiring.... the person who have done it someone -------------------- no words...!!
either have to install cel temporarily from ecu till somewhere as its hard to trace that cluster CEL.....!!
i have doubts even if main sensors are wired correctly as the way he wired them up is just hilarious....!
loom literally needs to be pulled up and rewired again....!!
you try to find pinout thing ...i am also searching here and there to help him up as he can at least get some rest....!!

now you know how I feel when I see a swap, anyways - if the loom is intact to the ECM - you probably only need to understand what the wires hanging around are for, they usually are for

ign switch power
start
fuel pump latch
speed sensor
A/C rpm
A/C clutch
A/C switch
engine rpm
dash coolant temp
check light
overdrive cancel switch
shift position indicators

now what I would do - is because the engine is functioning some parts of the loom are correct, pull the loom and trace each wire and take notes - (thats how I do it if I cant find the wiring diagrams) - then take reference from general toyota wiring colour codes.

btw - is the transmission a toyota ECT or fully hydraulic - if you say its a 1JZ transmission then it should be an ECT and if it shifts normally then the speed sensor and 3 solenoids inside the transmission valve body are functioning.

This will be needing a rewiring ..! i would suggest that the owner should take it to tariq`s workshop ..

yea The same car.....!! I Gave Him tariq bhai's no and he will sometime get him checked but the estimate amount is what he just can't pay right now
Loom Needs to be rechecked for sure as that ****** bag put so many improper and useless joints which are not needed....!!
but for time being he can't afford tariq
