well if you want the 2.2D4D engine power ............there 2001,2002 or 2003 corolla X comes diesel engine which have D4D power.....these corolla importing Nows a Days

How's the performance? A friend's friend has one. My friend told me he found the local 2.0D better. His opinion wasn't biased since he hates Toyota.

2.0d cannot be compared with [2.2d4d180] its hp is 177ps and torque is 400nm. 2.0d torque is 132 and hp is 78 ps

those who relate a 1970/80's 2C/D engines with modern D4D don't even deserve to ride a vehicle. 2C/D are actually detuned derivation from truck engines. As Toyota was on the brink to compete with rising oil crisis and had no time to develop from ground zero. Only advantage with 2C/D engine is capability to burn sub-standard and alternative fuels like JetA, WVO, SVO, etc etc. Such fuels may be a problem in D4D due to all electronic gunk involved in ECU.

From my test drive experience of new Hiace in Jeddah, the engine has superb smoothness, power delivery and great fuel economy with AC. Not a single excuse to ditch where fuel economy is concerned.

Regarding their availability in Pakistan, meet the pathan brother in northern Pakistan. Anything can be arranged from cross border sources, even contraband but i don't recommend that

Well said "theboss" As Storm said...that's why Toyota Indus stopped marketing and selling Hilux'Vigo' as they where receiving lots of complaints due substandard diesel for D4D Vigo's engine.

you are better off getting the 2.0 D4D engine. It will give you about 54 miles per gallon. The 2.2 will only give you about 42 miles. in fact here in UK 2.0 D4D tOYOTAS ARE SELLING REALLY WELL.

The d4d engine is a bullet proof engine gives amazing economy with performance and great torque.

The only problem with these d4d engines is and it is a widespread problem is that the flywheel tends to go very quickly which also results in a new clutch having to be fitted at the same time. And this can be very costly beliveve me i know $$$$$$££££££%%%.
