2012 Honda City 0-100 kmh timings?

well, i dont think the civic takes 9 seconds to get to 100... it can do it in 8secs if in hands of a PROPER driver... but then again, do u think that this is the ONLY additional thing that u get when u pay 21lakh or so for a civic? HELL NO... you are paying that for more power, comfort, luxury, features and every single thing... cars of these categories shudnt be compared using their 0-100 timings... its pretty strange that many ppl do that... look for other features, safety, features, stability, comfort etc etc etc...

Lolz at doing 0-100 in 8secs .A manual civic can do 100 best in 8.5 secs

Haha dude first i also was in favour of the SWIFT that it can smoke a CITY but now understood that a Suzuki 1.3 90 bhp can't beat Honda's 1.3 100 bhp!!!

Torque values, weight of the vehicle itself + driver etc matter as well rather than just bhp.

Yes man thats 100% true but BHP counts the most in a car's 0-100 km/h time...Like the Suzuki Swift does 0-100 km/h in 11.5 seconds and the City i-vtec in 11 so thats why it takes the lead whenever you race it with a Swift!!! THINKING SKILLS :):)

This is probably because the technology of honda is state of the art and more innovative and Suzuki is a bit old and dumb thats why City Smokes a Swift otherwise the power to weight ratio of Swift is better than City:

Suzuki Swift - 1328cc - 90 hp - 1040 kg

Honda City - 1300cc -100 hp -1160 kg

Still don't know why City wins maybe because of additional 10 hp and Honda's intelligent i-vtec techonology!!! :P:P:P

Swift is 92 hp and CIty 98 hp to be exact.So theres roughy 6 hp's difference

so i can make up my mind of buying it rather than going for 1.5 Toyota Fielder!!! :):)

SOHC engines are widely known for their low end torque since a DOHC engine's valvetrain weight results in lower torque. DOHC engines are known for their top end power, they usually rev more as well.
