If they were pushing you towards a particular variant it means it had the LEAST bookings. That's what salesmen do, sell the hard-to-sell.
I imagine ppl think that 1.2 cvt will be underpowered and so they're either opting for 1.2 manual to save a few bucks or spending some more for 1.5 instead. I think these ppl might be in for a rude awakening when the price gets revealed as the price differential between 1.2 cvt and 1.5 cvt will be substantial, unlike 1.3 and 1.5 in 5th gen.

That's what I would've thought too, but I have a good friendship with a guy at honda point and according to him 1.2 cvt getting most bookings and I can believe him as he has been fairly honest with me so far. Plus our locals seem to have a weird fetish for small engines so it seems quite believable. If the price is too much, I'll just cancel the booking as apparently we'll get a week after launch to cancel bookings without any deduction if we want.

Just Booked Aspire 1.5 AT , The representation said there would be a sunroof in fully loaded and she wasnot sure about cruise, I Asked Thrice about sunroof what you guys say?
Sunroof In Aspire Variant can do wonders i feel it can compete with altis if there would be sunroof and cruise.

And I Feel This time honda Aspire variant would be different from 5th generation, I mean in terms of options.

The representative is sure about sunroof but nor sure about cruise control.. means the representative is not sure about anything. Why didn't you ask for the specification sheet before booking of the vehicle ? and what if the price at the time of delivery is 3.3 Million?

Cruise control is not even an expensive add-on anymore. Y honda or anyone else dnt wanna give is beyond me

I asked about specification i tried to ask from everywhere but they said sunroof this time would be there iam not sure how true it is?

True But If they add features like cruise and sunroof it can do wonders, The interior and shape of 6th generation isnot that bad.

It was shocking to see, there was a big rush on honda showrooms and mostly people were booking 1.2 automatic iam still confused why they are going with 1.2 it wont be underpowered?

If sunroof and cruise control are given in City then customers who are interested in Civic would move towards City too. That's why many options available internationally in City would probably not be available in City in Pakistan. Civic sales would reduce drastically if both City and Civic have similar options.

Fazal Bhai, I have booked Aspire 1.5 CVT as well. Right now representatives aren't sure about any specifications. So far they mentioned is Climate control and Push start in aspire along with standard aspire upgrades like leather seats, navigation and Alloys.
Standard 1.2 and 1.5 city delivery starts from September and Aspire from October.
Reason I opted for city is due to insane high prices of used cars. I don't want to spend 3MPKR above on a used car. I personally don't like the shape of Yaris and new Chinese Entries yet to prove their Aftersales and reliability. So many people like me are left with No other option.
Honda has received an overwhelming response. I reached one of the dealership in Islamabad at 9:50 AM and before me there are 6 to 7 people with POs for Booking. I got Booking for Oct (i.e. the 1st delivery month for Aspire). But when I was leaving around 11 AM all booking for Sep and Oct already exhausted.

Bhai, Sometimes we have to take bold desicions, I had no other options yaris shape look weird to me honda city pre booking would be close withn 15 days i guess, So you want to say i wait for atleast 1 year and iam sure honda city is getting a handsome amount of premium. I have seen the rush honda city own would 2 lac plus its not customer fault its our government fault they are allowing them so my budget is limited i cant buy this honda city with 3 4 lac own.

Also, some features are sure in Aspire variant like, Alloys Leather Seats, Navigation, Climate control and Push Start. Question remains for Cruise control and Sunroof. Honda is far far better brand to trust if compare with New entries like Alsvin, MG, HAVAL and Proton. They yet have to prove their product reliability, durability and aftersales.
For me its as safe bet to get City booked even without having actual look. Only point of concern what is going to be the launch price. Which I assume will be similar to YARIS.

According to Honda there are more bookings for 1.2 auto but i think auto would be underpowered in 1.2 category.

As per my opinion, 1.2 with CVT may not be that much under powered. it has similar output as of GLI so considering smaller in size it will have a decent power for a daily runner.

What about the safety features? Airbags, traction control, hill assist etc? Are these going to be standard in all variants like Yaris? These items can't be added after market.

We can get Alloys Leather Seats, Navigation and even Cruise control after market.
