absolutely no action ever taken against this mafia by any brand in past decades bcz that mafia is part of their high sales and bulk productions with bad QC....

1.2cc would be around 89hp it will be slightly underpowered but would fetch a good average for city drivers n efficient. Lets see thats my view

No. Mileage depends upon the power engine produces in mid range. If 1.2 provides less power in mid range then no it will not be efficient.
Between weight is a very important factor. If new gen is going to weigh more then old gen then it's not a wise decision.

As you can see the ivtec needs to go to 2500rpm to get to 100Nm torque while the idsi has that much torque from basically 1000rpm. Most people never drive above 3000rpm to notice the higher top end power of ivtec. 1-2.5k rpm range is very relevant as that is the range mostly used while driving, especially in rushy areas of pak. Another factor is that the dyno is showing the best case scenario. In real life ecu constantly adjusts the ivtec disengagement point according to how the engine is being driven. On the 1.3 city sometimes the ivtec seems to disengage on as low as 2k rpm and sometime needs to go as high as 4k rpm. The ivtec disengagement is pretty noticeable due to the sudden rush of torque. The 1.3 5th gen city already didn't feel powerful enough to make a displacement and power decrease seem relevant. Even the 1.3 is not used in 6th gen throughout the world as the 1.5 seems more appropriate for a car this size, so 1.2 is going to be especially bad.

Wow. So many racing enthusiasts on PW discussing power concerns.
I mean wouldn't it be better to just let the car come and experience it in real life and then decide if it has enough power or not.
Plus, you guys really think people care if it has 84 or 89 or 90 some hp. No: they care what it costs, how much it costs to run and the MOST important, how good will be the resale. (Suzuki Alto for ex. Has the highest sale, not any RS turbo JDM)
As long as it can keep up with the 1000cc vitz and its likes, return good mileage and keep people safe from the crappy FBR BS (that consider 1300cc+ cars as "luxuries"), it will sell and sell good. I also think that the majority, other than "racer boys" who drive their dad's honda city on Dads petrol, would Not complain of any major power concerns. After all, it is a compact city car, and not a premium sedan or highway cruiser

Ricers would be a lot more concerned with the high end power. Low end torque is more for regular usability. But I guess having actual knowledge of cars isn't allowed here.

Looks like it. So almost the same price as 1.3 Yaris CVT.
Unless City is bringing more features compared to yaris, Honda should've priced it cheaper.

No that is not the price.
Did you read the complete post by the owner. He mentioned that they are just mentioning the old price as some sort of formality. Price will be updated accordingly when released.

I think people will happily buy even if that's the case as although it's an older gen, yet its looks good and had a very good response internationally. If I remember correctly it still leads the sales in our neighbouring country where so many other options are available.

If not artificially extended, the prolonged delivery times suggest a lot of interest and prebooking. Lets see if Honda releases the actual numbers.
