I Have Observed that honda sales team doesnot know anything,We cant say anything about any feature some are saying there would be sunroof some are saying there wont be so Honda sale team knows nothing they even dont know about cheques and PO, They are just taking blind booking and People are asking question they are blank.

Most, if not all, manufacturers give max power figures along with the RPM at which these figures are achieved.

So since Honda is waiting for the federal budget to set city's final price, what are the expectations? Is there a chance of fed being abolished or lessened for cars below 1300cc? Or any other tax/duty changing?

1.2 would be a cow and the rpm on motorway the sound would be bizzare. I don't know who came up with the concept that smaller engines are more efficient.
I have 2 1.8s , 1 1.3 and also had a 1.0.
All low mileage, all have pretty much the same average.
Only benifit is the tax.

@120 KMs 1000cc CVT has less RPM (around 3) than 1.3 Manual cars.

Because they are? Or are you implying that a C63 AMG would have the same fuel economy as a C180? Which sedan in Pakistan can match the fuel economy of the 660cc Alto?

The reason why our local 1.3 Corollas tend to have worse fuel economy than the 1.8 Grande is because the 1.3 engine is old as shit and is paired with a transmission that is also old as shit.

I personally think Honda is also waiting regards decision on withholding tax
If it gets abolished they will add that Rs50,000 to price of the car
Otherwise they will leave it as the price they have already decided
I don't think they have any intentions of reducing the price paid by the customer, with or without withholding tax.

It's a mean tactic by Honda
Obviously they have already decided on the price of the car
They could have just announced the price and mention that the customer will need to pay all government duties on top of that price as applicable.

Why does it matter? It's not a car designed to travel at 120kph. It's an inner city car. If your travel includes motorway every other day, then sure get a car with a bigger engine.

I personally think that all engines between 1and 2 liters of displacement have pretty similar fuel consumption if they are mated to a reasonable weight car. i.e. my friend owns a 2 liter N/A civic in USA and says that he gets 11-12 km/l city and 16 km/l highway at 70-75 mph(110-120 kph). Obviously the performance is different, but fuel economy is pretty similar.

couldn't agree more...and then there are few new 3 cylinder 1.5 entrants in market. imagine their rpm and sound at motorway speeds!!

I was waiting for New Honda City but since its earliest delivery is November already, please suggest if I should go for Yaris 1.5 ATIV now? Yaris was not my first preference due to looks but since its available within 1 month, I am thinking of getting it and then after 1.5 to 2 years upgrade to a bigger sedan. Waiting till November for 6th Gen doesn't sound appealing but the only other option is Yaris then (not convinced by Alsvin)

Abhi gari ayi nai hai aur pakwheelers ka shor dekho, people in that range dont care whether its underpowered or not should be just reliable and safe,.Unho ney gari drifting ke lye nai leni, seeing the success of 1000 cc vitz and GLI (which I remember on road the first thing people used to be pissed of at were the manual windows then other stuff :-P). Fuel economy wali baat bhi exaggerated lag rahi hai,12-14 toh I think XLI deti hai
