And there is a news that honda is only giving driver side airbag in city and passenger side airbag is given in 2025 with fakelift.

And honda is also did this with brv in 2017 they provided only driver side airbag and in 2019 facelift they added a passenger side airbag. There are chances that Honda is also planning to surprise their customer with single airbag.

All those goodies in Indian variant of Honda City won't be present in upcoming City here. So don't expect much.

I have driven alto vxl to 130 and it did not go anywhere, People say Yaris is unstable blah blah.. at 120+. My ex company shifted from Gli to Yarix Gli for employee transport. I have been a passenger and the driver has taken it to good 120 and no drifting or control issues what so ever.
The driver who has taken the car to Lahore also has told no issues till 140 as above it tracker reports and they get reprimanded.

The car can go to 180 if you harden the suspension and reduce height, change the tyres. Those who are giving eg of Autobahn Germany should know that the road condition is different there, the cars are tuned accordingly.

Yaris serves the purpose perfectly well for a subcompact sedan. It drives good in the city, urban and rural areas and is perfectly fine at about 10% above highway/motorway speed limit from the factory. With the option of being re-tuned or modded to satisfy the ricer itch.

If you want the cornering and planted road grip then for 3.1 to 3.4 million get yourself a used CIVIC that will serve the purpose better.

Both companies know their target market and customer base, they bring product accordingly.

So by advocating driving at 180 you are not only breaking the law but also risking the lives of the people who are driving the vehicle and those who might be effeced as a consequence.

Both the cars are economy sedan let them be that and talk in that frame.

You are right Honda pakistan is only able to provide the phatta suspension and shark fin antenna ultra pro max with 1000km warranty

The reason for yaris unstable is its ground clearance the pakistan yaris ground clearance is more than the international yaris when the ground clearance is high then the car road grip also effect.

You missed out on the context of people cancelling bookings and its effects on delivery times for people who did not book. Yaris' case is completely different, toyota increased production a lot to get as many sales as possible before they start getting competition. Huge number of yaris ads nowadays are proof of toyota feeling the heat from the competition and knowing that their product holds no actual superiority or sentimental value like the corolla 1.3 did. Corolla's only competition is the civic and both those have completely different sets of buyers, that's how they can get lazy with them and keep the production speed low.

I know the issue, that is why I said it is designed to cater for the road conditions of Pakistan, there is now Autobahn, (well except for the one autobahn road in Hyderabad).

It drives fine till 140 that is more than the max speed limit anywhere in pakistan.

To all the fanboys of 180 etc please note that our road barrier and our trucking standard do not comply to international regulations. There is no rear barrier on the trucks "rear underride guards” or “rear impact guards.” and if for any reason any of the car (Local or imported) gets into a collision with a truck/lorry at any speed above 60, they can be sure to have their bodies split in two.

the distance it takes to react and stop a car from 180 vs 120 is almost double

So Lets keep the car where it is designed to operate

Sir this is also 2014 shape, altis is evenly placed but is alot more beautiful astheically. By the way the current facelift was launched in 2019 globally so it is much more updated by any comparison.

The shape being launched is available by the name grace since 2014 and hardly enjoys any onroad respect, its not appreciated or praised ever....

You took so much effort in writing a long post, i think you are too obsessed with city.

Brother, spend a few bucks, buy a measuring tape, visit the 4 cars dealerships and you will learn that Yaris has the biggest cabin amongst City/Aspire/Saga.... City is bigger than Alsvin and smaller than Yaris, Alsvin is bigger than Saga but Smaller than Yaris and City.

Please, you have evey right to praise a car but please keep facts correct. Yaris is not cramped, if it is cramped then city is Super Cramped and definitely smaller.

Yaris is not selling just in Pakistan, it has also outnumbered Toyota Corolla in Saudi Arab and certain other countries aswell. Did not do well in India because it was priced much higher than its competitors due to having 7 airbags and features which are not a priority in poor consumer countries like India...

New City will definitely be a good competition, the only factor would be pricing, the car with the cheaper base variant will be the winner in number of sales.

As for shape, now Yaris has been well accepted in the market, leading sales for consecutive 11 months leaves no question of being a not so good car. It has been reported offering upto 20 kmpl on the 1.5 variant. Lets see what happens next...
