Rim and tyre size has a huge impact on the looks and aesthetics of the car ....

City would look better with a 16" Alloy......15" in Aspire would not look good....

Are Corolla variants have a 16" Alloy....and they look cool...

Yaris with 15" alloys looks terrible,,,,,,had it got a 16" Alloy would have looked much better...

B segment cars are not meant to look good... 16 inch wheels on Yaris would make ride Terrible

looks matter no doubt, but money also matters. people looking for a budget sedan want someting reasonably priced with good features and good mileage.

city has now a big drop on features with the cruise control and the rear ac vents.
Yaris has the advantage of a newer engine, the 1.5, with better fuel economy.

Looks certainly do matter. But features matter more in budget segment. Otherwise if looks mattered more than no one would have purchased Suzuki Alto

Alto is selling because of no other option. If there is any local option like Honda N One and Mira, no body will buy Alto over these two cars.

Upcoming city would be a complete package with good amount of features and having the best looks (despite old gen) in this segment. So it will definitely be a good option for any buyer.

yeah but its the same engine with some frills on the intake port, i dnt think it will be able to match the fuel economy of the 2nr-fe. It might be more economical with the cvt (w.r.t 5th gen) but that would only make a diff of 1-1.5kmpl. the mileage figures would be very close to the 5th gen.

As of 1.5L , It's the same 1.5L as in BRV.

According to indian sources the fuel economy is slightly better for 6th gen city vs Yaris, 18 vs 17.8 for automatic and 17.4 Vs 17.1 for manual. Obviously best case scenario, but good indicator for general comparison. The honda 1.5 has a decent amount more horsepower than the Yaris 1.5 though, 118hp vs 106hp. Also more high end torque, 145nm Vs 140nm. I'm pretty sure Yaris will have more low end torque though, but there isn't any concrete data on it.

The long route fuel averages aren't representative of routine usage.

Within City average is more important for majority; in Lahore, even main roads are clogged with traffic in peak hours. One way commute from work to home or vice a versa takes an hour many a times even more.

What's the estimated average (With AC) in city traffic commute?

The monthly fuel costs are likely to go up significantly as the finance minister has hinted a PKR 15-20/litre Petroleum levy to be imposed soon.

India uses ARAI testing method which simulates a mix of city and highway conditions on a dyno. So no, those numbers are not simple long route averages. Although in reality those numbers are not achievable, but they are relevant enough to disprove anyone saying that the Yaris (at least the 1.5 variant) is going to be more fuel efficient. I do think that the yaris 1.3 will be more efficient than the city 1.2 though.
