The way they have unveiled the features suggests that they would definitely hold back some additional features for the actual launch..

May be ABS, VSC, TC, HA etc will be disclosed upon launch... May be even a sunroof in the aspire variant...

I sincerely hope that they do include the advertised goodies in the 1.2 CVT variant as well...

If they include that in addition to already advertised goodies and then price it at or ideally below 3 mil then it will eat up a lot of Yaris Top variant Sales...

Main competition would be in 1.2 CVT and ATIV 1.3 CVT Category as they fall is much lower and more affordable price bracket (~2.7 mil)

First it's not launching on 12 July
Secondly most of what it has is already advertised by Atlas.
Apart from ABS and EBD I doubt the rest of the safety features you stated would be even in Top Variant.
Sunroof Yes, may be in 2031.

Pick one either the features you mentioned or 3 million price you mentioned. Both are not happening together

I may prove to be wrong; but the recent price reductions on top... I still am sticking to my point that Honda won't price their top variant above 3 million and 1.2 CVT at 2.7-2.75 million at least for now... Of all the features introduced so far there is nothing super special which gives them the leverage to price it abhorrently..

They were already losing market share last year which literally forced them to introduce 6th gen... If they don't price it right then it will be a downward spiral for them. I don't think that their CFO & CMO are that stupid not to understand the current market dynamics...

Despite the brand loyalty ...they would have a hard time selling it if it fringes around Altis territory... with current price reductions their margin to play has become even more limited...

Ofcourse thats what i said when there were rumors of sonata starting at 70 plus and top varient 85 plus.

Honda atlas wont be able to sell city well if they keep the price way more that yaris , there wont be a difference of more than 75000 between yaris ativ x and city aspire.

I have some info though that the city wont have TC , HA , VSC and paddle shifters. We may see sunroof though.

They have already sold numberous pre bookings without revealing the specs or price. They know it's going to sell. The did that twice before and didn't face any consequences. Those additional features in 3 million price point seems impossible. I hope your wish comes true but it's Atlas we are talking about

As far as features are concerned if City has all these you mentioned at price of 3 million no one would even buy a Yaris. But this would leave Honda Atlas with half profit on each car.
Companies try to be only competitive and do not try to sweep the competition by reducing its profit. Profit comes first for them. The deciding factor is the profit margin on each unit produced.
Having the minimum manufacturing cost and minimum required features to get max profit margin is what the CFO and CMO or any other O thinks about.

Conversely they can can sell more cars by givingmore features and ultimately increase their overall profit as well , the concern may then be the production capacity. Toyota are able to produce a lot of yarises per month but can honda produce such numbers or frustrate their customers like changan is doing. Lol they(changan) cant even produce 120 cars a month given their delivery numbers at the moment. So its a big challenge for honda atlas at the moment , either reduce features or increase production.

That's an excellent analysis.
Enhancing capacity comes at a cost too. You need more staff, more space, more machinery. I doubt they would go that route.

As per PAMA Data
Toyota produced 26K + Yaris and 16K+ Corollas (Jun 2020-May 2021)

Whereas Honda during the same period produced 22,450 units (City & Civic combined)

As per a pakwheels report Honda has an installed capacity of 65000 units annually...
How compatible is the assembly/production line with 6th Gen City, only an insider can shed light on that ...

Toyota no doubt has put a hard foot on the gas paddle as far as Yaris production is concerned.

so little search on google revealed that Honda has their best year in 2017 when they sold over 44000 units. 20000 plus civics , 7000 plus brvs and rest of them honda city cars. So they can produce around 20000 city units if required. Lets see which way they choose to go.

With stonic coming in, the competition is gonna get tougher in 2nd half this year. Its entry price would be 3 Mills as per their COO.
