Kia Stonic is a ... what? A cross over? An elevated hatch back or a baby SUV? Though the exterior is catchy, I didn't like the interior at all....

Top Gear review says "it fails to justify its existence" but then Pakistanis may drool over this baby SUV

I don't see it competing directly with Honda City at all... but that's just me...

I think if its priced around city then it can give some competition given that it looks like a small SUV. The wheel base is pretty decent , almost equal to that of city's. The weight is similar too but the power of 1.0 turbo engine is just 100 Hp but ofcourse torque is fine. I dont know which engine size will they be offering in pakistan.

PKDM Stonic will be 1.4L MPI with around 100HP. No Turbo on PK assembled Stonic

It’s a glorified hatch. Same category as of cx3, Yaris cross, or Nissan Juke, kicks etc.

And PakWheels blogs and other websites were predicting its pricing to be close to Elantra and civic.

It’s a decent car and if priced at city Yaris level it can be fine

Pakistani yaris has EBD, plus climate control alone costs alot which is available in Pakistani variant.

Rear Fog lamps, paking sensors, shark anteena and cruise control combined won't cost more than 5 to 7 thousand if you get them aftermarket...

I think there is no acoustic windscreen and smart entry in gulf variant aswell.

We can conclude than Pakistani variant is much loaded and justified cost wise... only climate control justifies the cost difference

City is one third the size of corolla, its even smaller than Yaris and current variant is featurless, i personally compare the current city with Swift only...

I may cancel the booking if 1.2 automatic is priced beyond 2.6 to 2.7 million max

Yes features tou wahi hotay hein jo non-upgradabe hon. For example if Yaris did not have any way of installing cruise control then 50% people who travel long routes would simply not buy Yaris

Doubt this date too. Reason being no communication by Atlas so far. It seems like a tactic for more bookings. I would not be surprised if they Launch it in End August or September.

Atlas has not even given an exact date except for a leaked communication with dealership about launch in July.
