12th gen Altis 1.6 will come next year either mid or last quarter. So will 11th gen civic.
I would suggest anyone whose gonna buy civic or corolla to wait.

for those who think city 1.3 was underpowered. It does 0-100 in 10.7 seconds, how much quicker one can expect 1.3 litre econo sedan to be?

Well it is underpowered. A good 0-100 doesn't prove that it isn't. In normal city driving you are not redlining it, you ideally want to be within 1.5-2.5k range. Cruising and pulling are very different. I've been driving a city since 2010 and still am. It is quick yes, but it is underpowered as well, try shifting it around 2k RPM and see how it bogs down. The ideal shift range I've found to be between 2.5k-3k, anything below and it feels like you are moving a truck. You enjoy city when you go beyond 3k RPM, it feels light and quick. I don't enjoy it for normal slow city driving, but if you want to drive it fast, it's quiet fun.

Lower end response of all honda cars is not good but once u move over 3000 rpm, it feels very good

You have to give Honda credit for that. The l13 engine gives economy of 1.0 litre below 3000 rpm and power of 1.3 litre above 3k

Visited showroom today. Car is much better in real, cabin is spacious. Surprisingly, seats are way better than before. They are soft and welcoming.

I was talking about manual corolla with the 2NZ FE engine. As i said, our experiences differ as i drove my rollas almost everywhere till babusir top as well without suffering and it was reasonable for that car. I agree about the Super ECT version being slow coupled with a terrible throttle response for that car . I have two CVT cars at home and i am more then satisfied with their performance and economy. Regarding the 1.2 Honda city, the car will hopefully perform decently. ( It's my opinion and you'. Can disagree with it)
