Trust me they did not kill the 1.2 cvt with its pricing. The extreme pakistani fetish for small as hell engines always takes over any intelligible thought process. Always remember, before 2017 aspire 1.5 was just 20k more than aspire 1.3, yet aspire 1.3 was more popular in those days. Even the base 1.3 was just 1.5 lakhs cheaper than aspire 1.5 with much less features, but still barely anyone bought the aspire 1.5. And many buyers of base 1.3 went on to get oem navigation and other aftermarket aspire stuff to almost completely negate the price difference.
One of of the most retarded market trends I saw was how when base 1.5 came for 5th gen city, they were available for ready delivery on less own than 1.3, making the price difference almost negligible, yet people kept on buying 1.3 on own. Also 1.5 always had much lower delivery time for 5th gen.
So yeah, never underestimate our locals' idiotic obsession with small engines. Honda can literally just give 1.2 cvt cruise control, price it the same as 1.5 cvt, promise better fuel economy (lie), and even then it will get more sales. For proof you can see a few members getting extremely triggered and madly defending their currently owned underpowered pieces of trash, or their currently booked underpowered pieces of trash.
