This aspire is also much higher than what a turbo civic was a few years ago, yes ik we don't live in that same market now and must move on and accept the reality but Honda did not do this out of love for their customers, they did it because of Yaris or else that 1.5 base version would have been our aspire

I believe this race of buying under power autos is culprit and people don't concentrate on driving because of autos and are busy on phone or something else. I am not sure what will happen as more and more autos are on the road.

I drive mostly on left lane as we friends call it actual fast lane as right lane is in use of Suzuki if you live in Islamabad you should have faced same on most roads specially Srinagar highway. Sometimes I think may be too may people came back from Western or gulf countries and forgot that we drive on left side.

Brother i was looking at someone in the fb pakwheels group in the morning who paid 300k own on a 1.6 altis in addition to a 110k tax cuz of the own and his own registration and God knows what else but it ended up costing him 4 million, imagine that for a 1.6 Altis

One of my colleague was looking for Altis 1.6 Auto back in March April in Islamabad and he then booked instead of paying 400K own and delivery will be in September if its not further delayed. So I wonder how people saying its available in 2-3 months at that time we checked most of showrooms from Abbotabad, DI Khan to whole Punjab all the way to Rahim Yar Khan but it was not available before 4+ months.

I heard about a very horrifying conversation in a Honda dealership recently. A guy was trying to buy an aspire on own and his exact words were

"Mai max 3.5 lakh on Doon ga buss".

Showing that the actual own demands are much higher than the absurd 3.5 lakhs amount. People are willing to pay these insane premiums. And that we are living with morons who would rather pay that much for a city coming like a month later rather than booking a civic for around the same price and waiting just 3 months for a much better car at around the same price.

I've seen some upper class douchebags even bragging about how much own they paid. Many of these people have no patience and for them paying own is something deserving of showing off. I'd personally be embarrassed and even hide it from others if I overpaid for a trashy econobox aka "shitbox".

Not unexpected from a nation where buying something on sale is considered by some as embarrassing and to be hidden from others.

Many of our locals have got really weird buying preferences. They get obsessed with something, ignore the value for money and buy that for whatever price possible. They also completely ignore there being much better stuff available for that price.

Another thing that's happening is that a certain part of our community have gotten way too rich, but their preferences are still stuck in the middle class. So they love overpaying for the middle class pride stuff like this corolla 1.6 in question.

Whenever I look at someone driving horribly, 95 percent of the time they're on their phone. But our police are way more concerned for e-challanning people for the absolute horrible crime of their tires slightly touching the barely visible lines on traffic lights. And the physically present policemen on the road are only there to catch non-payers of challans.
