JAPANESE are monitoring here

The Japanese are the most money hungry people ever. Here they have only one goal. It is actually the Japanese who are preventing Pakistani auto industry from progressing. Do you remember the blunder with the 2016 Civic launch? It was a local garage in Lahore that came with an ECU tune to fix the car. They are the ones with the sole power to improve Pakistan. Honda Atlas and Toyota Indus are only there for initial investment. As far as I know, they only decide what cars to bring. The rest is calculated and provided by the Japanese parent companies including, but not limited to, creature comforts, interior materials and exterior materials.

Yes Honda Atlas and Toyota Indus are predominantly to blame, but don't forget the role the Japanese play to hold development back and create this environment of doing the bare minimum.

Also, in regards to this, I am absolutely sure that the Japanese are well aware of the long car delivery times and choose to ignore the fact that the Pakistani subsidiaries are involved in allowing this investor culture and artificial market shortages, which are very damaging to the brands themselves.

He wouldn't have to pay anything if the car gets invoiced in December. Seems like nishat has been the most reasonable this time which is shocking. Their wording makes it seem like if someone buys right now and gets December allocation, they can get it for the current price. That will make it the best value for money car in its class and maybe even the complete current local car market. Elantra is looking really good now with the new wheels and perforated leather interior.

Honda 1.2 cvt. As u want to keep for 10 yrs. This is stylish and modern looking car and wont look old on road in many yrs to come. Honda is reliable car and this variant will give good mileage as u will use express way i suppose alone most of the time. U will have to drive with soft foot to get the good average thats the key. Usually manual variant gives good mileage compare to cvt/auto. Ur choice.
Honda Avenue is the best. Its on express way adjacent to gulburg green entrance. U can meet Mr. Tufail in sales section. Talk to him and may be u get car early and may b in december quota if u pay full amount before 26 november. Just talk to Tufail and talk abt the possibilities first. Then decide.

thank you for the detailed reply. Why are we seeing so few Honda City. Expressway is full of Yaris but very rarely, sometimes only 1 in the whole day.

Its bz its newly launched car and a few customers have got delivery and r driving on road.
Most of the people who booked this car were investors and those delivered cars r at their showrooms to sell on money. After march/april u will see this car in abubdance on road.

Yaris does not have cruise but Honda 1.5 has cruise.
Depends whats ur need.

Yaris does not have cruise control but you can get one installed for 4-5k. You just need the cruise stick and connect it to your cars ECU. It does have Traction Control and Vehicle Stability Control. Yaris also has Triptonic mode

City on the other hand has cruise but no TC or VSC

Yaris is a better option due to the cheaper price and better engine. If you wanna go for city then go for 1.5 CVT base city. 1.2 is overpriced. With 1.5 you'd get an engine that's better than even Yaris 1.5 leading to the best performance and fuel economy in its class of cars and company fitted cruise control for just a bit more money over the 1.2.

Buying a 1.2 is a waste as you're already spending a humongous sum of money, so why not spend a bit more and get something that's much better. Plus buying a 1.2 will lead you to having to defend its lack of power constantly for the next 5-10 years of average ownership like a few members here.

Also if you drive with multiple passengers and luggage you need the extra power. Even the old 1.3 manual city which is leagues above 1.2 CVT completely bogs down with a lot of weight, and only feels reasonable with max 2 passengers and about 2 bags of luggage.

Bro Please comment about 1.2 Manual variant, is it worth buying at this price tag? It is low in price and will also have lower taxes for the lifetime. Definitely if buyer is not an auto transmission lover should he consider City 1.2MT over Yaris 1.3MT.

Sir do you think that 1.2 Manual is worth buying against Yaris 1.3 MT. To me City seems to be expensive but looks wise its better than Yaris both interior and exterior, same is expected for fuel average and Tax benefit. Please advise about 1.2 manual if the user is more concerned on Fuel efficiency than speed or pick (both on city and highway drive)

Out of 1.2 varients , manual is better. I have driven both of them , manual has better power delivery and more fuel efficient. If you are looking to buy an auto , 1.5 is a better deal. 1.2 cvt just doesn't make sense at all.

Yaris has some essential safety features which city is missing , but city IMO looks better. Yaris has better steering feel on highway , this city somehow has compromised its steering feel. Even alsvin has a better steering feel than city.

If you are looking for a bigger boot and more spacious rear cabin , city is your car. If you are more concerned about safety features then its yaris. Yaris 1.3 fuel economy is better.

I have a strong feeling that someday Honda will stop 1.2 altogether in automatic. Considering Honda engines always have inferior lower end torque vs competitive toyota engine, 1.2 is an absolute surprise only invented by Atlas. 1.5 the only engine making sense in city

Bhai anyone concerned purely on economy will be happy with manual. Manuals have less power loss bs auto anyday but u trade off major comfort advantage.

Yaris looks a lot better with proper body kits installed and tbh this city is also weirdly high which ruins the perks of buying a Honda. Still despite being an obsolete model, its overall design is better than Yaris. The price advantage of yaris can allow you to add a decent body kit to make Yaris look better. Smaller engines need more lower end response and this is where Toyota shines

I feel strange to buy 1.2L variant and drive it with soft and soft foot:). These are just tasalian people give to themselves. If someone has to compromise so much on driving pleasure, he should buy an Alto or Cultus instead of convincing others on ways to get mileage by driving at cycle speed

Yaris is superior in 1.3 at a better price as well. City 1.5 cvt is the best variant out if all but again its well overprices than Yaris which is strange

LOL those customer who booked honda city in May-21 they dont know what would be the price when the car will be launched so price increase will not effect them as they opt for this blindly now they could assume this is the launch price now at what price they are getting... further more it will be lesson for them to not book a car before its price launch
