Both new civic and rolla will be coming 3rd quarter next year. Imc is surely going to balance it out with civic soon and sudden dollar trend will help them in that plan. It’s impossible to switch honda buyer and that’s what they know. Its straight 3 lacs expensive than competition even corolla now. I m also surprised but i know end result will another hike from toyota

Corolla is due since 2020 not 2014 facelift was a global launch worldwide till 2019 end even in most developed countries

That's because not much sales for Hyundai. They know they will not sell much if they increase price like the rest of the companies.
I saw an Elantra, don't know why but it feels cheap like a Chinese built car.

Thankyou guyz for the Responses. So the hottest question these days is the decision between Honda City Base variant and Yaris Base Variant. Definitely both have their pros and cons. I m personally inclinded toward Honda City due to looks, but even at this Fan Club most people are vote for Yoyota Yaris 1.3
I am still watching the forum for real users feedback about Honda City

But i have many friends who shifted from Grande and civic to elantra. They say that the build quality, drive is way better. And are fully satisfied with the car. And if given a chance again will still choose elantra.

After sales is a major major issue too for Elantra all over the world. They don't have the same repute as Corolla and Civic I doubt Elantra can match the success of these two

Bro what i think is that, yaris looks better from back. And city looks better from front. On the other hand YARIS is uncomfortable from the cabin space. I am 6 foot and cant sit at the back, in city i can sit very comfortably, Yaris has features like traction control but still the road grip is poor, as compared to city still being better even without traction control. The drive of city is way better. I never liked the road grip of corolla. I had grande 15 and i remember loosing control at sharp turn around 80-90. Never happened in a HONDA.

Bro Thanks for the feedback, I am having same views but I never driven Honda City of Toyota Yaris, just seen physically at showrooms, what you told about city and Yaris is exactly what I felt. Are you specifically talking about this new City regarding road grip and drive stability ??

Yes i own city 1.2 CVT. And i have tested it on sharp turns at 80-90 and its excellent. As compared to grande 15 which lost control at the same test i did at 80 on the same place.

But i would recommend you to go for 1.5 CVT. Difference is only 120k and you get many additional features.

In looks, you can change tyres to 185/65/r15 and change rear tail lights halogens to LEDS and it will look bomb. Most loved car in INDIA.

If you drive on Islamabad Highway from Gulberg towards Rawat daily, then I would suggest Yaris if you can bear with the looks because of better suspension as the road after Gulberg bridge is bad and the city will start to produce noises after a few years. There won't be that much difference in the fuel economy of both cars.

Yaris is still more safe than city. I have taken turns at 80-90 in yaris, although city is a bit better but not much. Also I would prefer yaris over city any day on motorway because of loose steering feel in city.

I don't think we will get new models any time soon. Maybe 2023. That is if the sales keep on skyrocketing like they currently are, hopefully if sales drop off then they might have an incentive to launch a new model. Hybrids are expected by Indus after 2023. If you're interested in that class of car right now I'd suggest to buy Elantra soon. Even if we get new civic and corolla they'd surely be above 50 and won't be worth it for that price.

Plus it's looking more and more like Pakistan will go into complete financial crisis the next year and rupee will hyper devalue. Better buy what you can right now and Elantra got fast delivery too, leading to less likelihood of a price increase before delivery.

Bro being a 1.2 CVT user what are your views on Base model 1.2 MT
I am thinking of manual variant which is lowest in price. Do you think it will have best Resale value and good fuel average after 4 or 5 years time

Yes bro. Go for it. Manual would have decent power. Touches 190 easily. Have many videos regarding it. And resale is never an issue for Honda City and Toyota Corolla. Both are market kings!
