oil liqui moly, oil filter of VIC

Usually people choose aftermarket parts to lower the cost. How are you saving by using Liqui Moly? Also, the price difference between VIC and OEM Honda filter is not that much. I think it's wise to pay extra go for OEM filter if you are choosing VIC or Asakashi.

Guard is a bit low quality.

How can you claim that? Looking at the finishing of the filter prove nothing.

Either using OEM from the Honda dealer is ok or guard is the best alternative

Other Malaysian brands are only important from name the quality is worse.

Most shops don't keep guard because of less margin, just like Phillips isn't available every where.

My car is driven around 7500 km.

Last oil change was in June last year. At 5000km when I drove it to Islamabad from karachi and back

I am wondering I should go for a oil change. From the outside source, Since it's almost a year.

Going to Honda would only result in an extra 5k expense. I don't see my car doing 10,000 kms in another 3 months.

U need to change oil after max 6 months time no matter if not driven 5k. If u will not follow honda periodic maintenance it will void warranty. U might face issues now changing oil after 10 months.

In that case, Engine oil change would only trouble in engine warranty 🤷‍♂️

You're service is quite economical compared to my altis 1.6 10000km service.
3000 oil filter
7000 air filter
10700 for 5 litre oil. 4.5 litre is used
8000 for labor.
28000 plus ka bill.
Still navigating through this shocker!

How can it's ait filter be for 7000? It can be obtained for 5500 and who is taking 8000 in labor just for an oil change

5 liter pack is usually bot for 1.8L.

1.6 should be good for 3.8L

Check the user manual too.

Yeah very weird oil capacity requirement, and also hate cartridge style oil filters, most mechanics don't even know where to place the rubber gasket

Honda is weirdly now the cheapest in terms of regular maintenance. Even Suzuki maintenance parts have gotten super expensive.

Yeah did not expect maintenance this expensive from Toyota, OEM parts aren't that expensive they are only charging more to make profits lost on car sales

seeing that my last bill was around 18k. i was wondering if there is any point to getting maintenance done from honda anymore. is the price difference marginal. if yes then i would prefer having the service history by going to honda official

They seem to be very reasonable, if anybody has current prices do share, inshort maintain it from company as difference isn't that high. But I'll have to see the current prices before confirming

I suggest you to change oil after 6 months irrespective of the mileage.
Personally, I use Honda oil because it cost less than aftermarket oils.
For oil filter, it's your choice.

OEM filter is best and then comes vic, won't recommend any other filter based on my experience
