could you please check if you are able to move the unlock level on the doors to unlock the doors from inside while the doors have been automatically locked after attaining the speed of 20 kph. In my case when I switch to P, the doors gets unlocked or when I press the lock/unlock button on the driver side window cotrol panel but other than that if I park midway and someone has to dismount the rear doors and passenger side door cant be unlocked manually by moving the unlock level.

Last i remember, Came home, Came to stop, My Brother manually unlocked the front passenger door to get out and open the Garage door.

The unlocking at P feature can be turned off (its given in the owners manual)

the feature of locking by going above 20kph and unlock with P gear is very good. I have no problem with that. The issue is that if the car is locked. I pull over, car is still in D and someone wants to dismount from rear or the passenger side they will not be able to pull the unlock lever at their doors and will request me to unlock the doors. In other scenario, the car is parked, in P, engine running. doors were locked through the driver side lock unlock switch, anyone from passenger side or rear seat wants to go out of car but they cant unlock their door by moving the lever on their side.

Could you check in your car if this is my car only or across the board. I think this is not good in case of emergency evacuation if the driver is incapacitated. In my corolla the unlock levers were soft and the passenger or rear occupants could unlock the doors themselves irrespective of the central locking enabled by the driver.

I must mention that the driver side lock lever works and even unlock the other doors too but the levers on the other 3 doors are jam when the car is locked.

Headlight dims when i turn steering. Was there before aswell. Is it old battery or undercapacity battery or something?

Battery is used only to start the vehicle. After that the source of electricity is alternator. It has nothing to do with under size battery

Hello Sorry.

Front passenger lock/unlock works.

Rear both sides dont, and have to be unlocked by the driver side master control.

Nops. I learned this for the first time too, i think all cars should have this feature. Altho children lock setting should be enough. Why do you want to turn it off.

But MG HS is also missing the lock altogether, u have to pull the handle twice to unlock an MG passenger door.

My concern is that in case of a any untoward case where the driver become incapacitated the occupants will be trapped inside, no?

I tried again, the rear locks do get jammed but with a little force you can unlock them.

I guess it safer this way. The jam on your first try kids won't fiddle with them.

In case of an emergency they are usable.

Just like in an MG u have to pull the handle twice to unlock/open the car.

As far as my knowledge goes civic has a GDI engine and the problem with this technology is that there is a lot of buildup of carbon in the valves. Replacing oil early is a good thing for these engines. Access buildup of carbon will restrict the flow of air.

There are many videos on youtube of the same topic and German cars use oild with additives like mobil or liquimoli due to this very reason.
