How did you come up with this conclusion that people are ditching the 1.5 ativ x and going for altis 1.6?
Convinced two potential 1.6 altis buyers to get 1.5ativ x......infact the features convinced them.
1.6 altis ups 1.5 yaris only when it comes to space. Otherwise in almost......almost every department Yaris 1.5 ativ X is a better value for money
Not saying this coz im owner of one but this is an actual trend which i have witnessed.
Now coming to the topic at hand. As i said before, city will still sell because it caters a specific urban market which no matter how many features you give in Yaris will not move away from City. Honda city is a household name now.
I hope LED back lights come atleast. But knowing the cost cutting that Atlas is upto. We may be disappointed.
What we now need atleast is Cruise control, cvt transmission, traction control, hill start assist, isofex, a good imid, hopefully a sun roof......
Then it will be a winner. And Changan Alsvin would certainly bear the brunt. Yaris is safe......masses and government departments will still go for Yaris. Its the urban market that is the competition between City, Alsvin, Saga and yaris ativ versions.
