This is pathetic. We were about to get a zero meter yaris. Checked Pakwheels and got a 20k driven 2013 civic in 2.8M. Will take a low mileage civic over a swift or a 1.3 sedan every effin time.

Cultus is up for sale for 27 and Vitz easily sells at 2.8 to 3 million.

The invoice price is just a dhoka, Companies tell you why should we lower prices when our cars sell at a higher price.

Invoiced cars have a 100,000 penelty for registration aswell, This way Cultus/Picanto would cost you 2.7 & 2.8 Million too

Yes, you are right to say that.

Unfortunately, I have already made a deal with a nearby authorized dealership in the Car Exchange Program. I will hand them over Cultus VXL 2021 and will pay them the difference in amount with the top-end variant of the upcoming Swift. We estimated the top-end variant price to be around 3.0 million at max.

Right now, I have a budget of PKR 3.6 million for buying a car. Many sedans fall under this price tag. But I am not talking about them anywhere on this forum or anywhere else because I am not willing to buy a sedan at the moment.

The background story is that; I am planning to purchase a locally assembled hatchback with automatic transmission for the last two years. Purchased Alto VXL-AGS in-between, and had a very bad experience. KIA Picanto is not an option for me.

i import JDMS specially vitz and let me tell you ... Vitz is still the hot cake and sell with in 2-3 days max. Vitz is still the best hatchback with newer engine, comfortable drive and safety tech its just unbeatable.

lets see what paksuzuki comes up with new swift. Fully loaded should be around 2.9m.

Vitz is the reason, Santro died and Suzuki launched Swift in 2010.

Unfortunately Suzukis formulla didnt work, Vitz is definetly a hot cake, But 1.0L feels under powered with a CVT now.

I have 2015 with a eco Idle, Still no match with latest Pakistan offerings. Lets see what does Suzuki has to offer. (the seats are still better then a 2022 Grande Corolla)

in 2017 and in 2012 both times i skipped Honda City for a Vitz, That is why i am again and again saying Swift/ Vitz will compete with yaris and City and maybe Alsvin too.

Previously only competition was Honda City.

You get a Jhatka transmision Cultus at 2.7 million and Fuel Guzzler AT Picanto for 2.6/2.7 million Vitz is hands down a winner.

I need a higher ground clearance car for my office use, else il break Vitz bumpers everyday.

I agree with cultus ags and picanto. Both of them just don't make any sense specially with premium on top. Cultus gearbox is weird and picanto is really congested. The new swift is beautiful, I have checked it personally the JDM one with 1.0T that car smokes 1.8 oriel and grande. Moreover, the interior is really spacious with great features and modern design. The 1.2L with cvt coming here will be a great package too interms of fuel economy and power... I hope pricing remains under 3 million

If I was working at Suzuki I'd do anything in order to get 1.0 Turbo Variant here. We definitely need a turbo car for performance enthusiasts which is cheaper then the civic turbo. Civic turbo started tuning culture here in Pakistan just like the Skoda Octavia VRS did in India but a civic turbo is out of reach for many buyers. Would also love a infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and android auto

yes vitz isn't that engaging but the 2017 facelift toyota did something will cvt or mapping .. the car responds quite well on lower rpms so doesn't feel as bad as it used to and is really refined. Yup in current scenario due to poor local offerings Vitz is selling even more.

I am also really looking forward to new local swift. The exterior alone is stunning and I hope suzuki doesnt cut to much corners and price it competitively

Got a Alto in 2019, Got a Cultus manual Last week by exchaning AGS alto

Alto had zero quality issues, Cultus has been in production for 5 years now full of issues and bad fittings.

If Suzuki is intending to sell very small quantities each month,

Only then above 3 million makes sense.

Head over to sorento, stonic, Elantra threads. People predicted these cars will fail at their massively overpriced prices.

And

There’s no indication they’re a success n selling in mass numbers.
So the predictions in the forums are also correct many many times.

Also, only mainstream cars that awam loves can get away with huge price increases. Cars like:

Corolla
Civic
Fortuner
Hilux
…..etc
They sell no matter what the price.

But not a car like swift which already had quite a small market apparently.

No doubt vitz is very good.
I own a 3rd gen vitz and ma sha Allah its very good. I was eyeing this new swift but at this price i will prefer to keep my vitz.

Suzuki is an established name, their network of dealerships and spare parts support has record of over 30 years.

SWIFT will pose serious threat to 5 door vehicle segment.
am sure 'spooks' of Pak Suzuki will leak some more information about SWIFT variants for publication here soon.

higher ground clearance car

I have installed 185 65 15 size tires in vitz and ground clearance issue is gone. Don't go for spacers. It will kill ride quality.

Where I go only Wagonr and 2006 Corollas go. Vitz won't go even with 16s.

Ideally I shud have a jeep.

I'm not a potential buyer for Swift at the moment.

Maybe if they offer a turbo and I can afford a third toy car phir socheinge.

If swift is 3 million or above
Then yep
Vitz will still rule.

It’s amazing how with only 1000cc non turbo, n quite a heavy body, it climbs hills like a rough tough machine.

Trunk/boot capacity of new Swift is still quite less than 3rd gen Vitz.
It will have some added power at least on paper so that’s a positive.
