I know you are no. 1 swift fan but if they don't honor price locking on full payment, I have half a mind to cancel booking and add a couple more lac and get a City, per masla Yeh hai ker saaray manufacturers khabees hain.

Count me in too, I have also decided if prices increased and I have to pay the difference I will cancel my booking.

If you have made the full payment and received the booking number, your price is locked. Price increase won’t apply to you in that case.

Is this mentioned in terms and conditions on the pbo? If not, then we're at the mercy of Pak Suzuki. They can do whatever they want.

it's been very tricky when it comes to Suzuki and sedans, see what happened to Liana and Ciaz, both were very good cars, Liana in fact was loaded with more features than its competitors at the time of its launch, BUT... the problem is brand perception, people are not willing to buy a Suzuki in Pakistan at the price of Honda or Toyota ... the thing is, either Suzuki HAS to keep its prices lower than the other two big brands because people have a perception about it that its cars are cheaper, so when they see a Suzuki pricing equal to Toyota and Honda, they start hesitating ... or ... it has to invest heavily in changing its perception here in Pak as an equally good brand as Honda and Toyota : ( tricky situation for Suzuki here!

The problem I have with this hypothesis is that when Suzuki's sedans couldn't compete with Honda and Toyota at similar prices, wouldn't a hatchback fare even worse?
Yes, the market for a Suzuki sedan isn't that big but I'm 100% certain it would be more popular than Swift.
Secondly, look at Alsvin, over time it has slowly carved its way into the sedan segment. So why can't Suzuki do the same?

And here's the most interesting part. Going through Suzuki's prices in Thailand, it is surprising to see that Ciaz and Swift cost virtually the same!

So now imagine features similar to new Swift inside a CKD Ciaz at the same prices. It would absolutely rule the competition just like it's doing in India. I can't understand why PakSuzuki chose to launch new Swift instead of Ciaz, it's a real shame.

I agree, Ciaz with similar features and k14 or higher engine would have simply killed Yaris and city. Even earlier Ciaz was giving tough time.

I would have definitely gone for Ciaz

I think even K12 like Thai Ciaz would be good enough. Power and fuel efficiency are quite similar to K14 (91hp vs 94hp and 20km/l vs 20.7km/l) but with additional benefits of having a CVT instead of 4-AT and being in lower tax bracket like Swift.
