well kept, it runs in other countries for miles and miles, its quite self-evident wy they dont last in pakistan.

Is the cooling duct under the radiator damaged?

Dosent appear to be. The mechanic I am using seems fairly familiar with Rotaries and says the temp is fine but i still have my doubts as if I drive the car hard theres a distinct burning smell that comes.

rotary engines run hotter than normal piston engines, You have to verify that the cooling duct under the radiator are intact - if its missing or cracked - because of fitting a big bumper or scraping it on a speed breaker etc, it gets damaged - once damaged air will lick the radiator but not go through it.

take a torch and look in the front bumper grille - you should be able to see the radiator sitting in giant cavity packed from the bottom and sides. The duct forces air through the radiator when the car is moving.

You should also ensure that your radiator fins are not clogged with dirt/mud - it can happen and its not a case of spraying to clean it, you would need to clean it from the top - remove air box and fans and clean it out.

sr20 swap in rx8 .... its nissan silvia engine ... a much better fit and more balanced as compared to 1jz (its faizullah workshop)

I repaired rotaries when I was in Karachi. even made a copy of Mazda's engine stand for it. Aristocars also does rotary work - but mind you that shop is expensive, but surely they have some fancy tools to repair stuff properly.

sir g i dont think no one does a better job on rotaries than faizullah ... all the big shot shops that you hear about get most of their stuff from him, he will fix u a rotary in no time though only the kit costs about $1200 ...

Is it really that hard to build a Rotary engine ?

For a beginner he needs 3 things .

1 special tools
2 basic knowledge about Rotary engine
3 common scene

As for what @Xulfiqar said , yes i do agree that Aristo cars is known for odd jobs , but they get the job done properly.

Faizullah from Peshawar is also known for its Rotary work ,

yaar bachay key jaan layga kya .... no need to get confrontational ... i know maxtorque and maxpower buy stuff from him and also the other way round (meaning he buys stuff from them too) ...
