I also received 3G signals on my Telenor connection when I was in Rawalpindi (Morgah area) last week. Too bad I was low on balance or else I'd have checked the speed as well, only used Facebook LOL. It kept switching between HSDPA and HSPA+ and only happened at night after 12!
Speed is getting better & better-
Glad to know that but the real test would be when millions of customers will be using 3G...the speed will drop to KBs...

i am already using my evodroid smart phone with 3g of ptcl since a year or so which is 3.1 mbps
How much is the phone for? What is your review? Why cannot it be used with any other Android phone?
It was of 18.5K in 2012 when i got it,evo is builtin,can be used as hotspot aswell features are few because its 2.2 fryo but its handy on the go,you do not need to look for wifi signals.

Is the SIM removable?
yep.you can use internet even with out any sim on this fone.If you want your gsm sim along with a cdma sim i,e vptcl both will work together .
What kind of SIM was there in the phone? Was it a PTCL SIM?If you take the PTCL SIM out of it, can you put it in some other phone and use the 3G network the same way?

14 April is last date for submit imp doc for 3G, n final action date is 23 April same day they give the list of winners of 3G spectrum. may b we can use 3G from 1st may 2014.
