Zong 4G Mifi:
I've been getting solid speeds in Gulshan near Bait-ul-Mukarram Karachi...


Tested it out in Karachi Club today and was a bit shocked to see this...


Didn't have time to check the server so I'm not sure how accurate this is. Though one thing is for sure, speeds are MILES better in Islamabad.

So went to zong franchise for this mifi device when I went there first time I asked about the coverage of 4g in my area ghori town phase 2 the lady told me that it was covered so i asked about the device she said that it is short so it will take few days.So when i went yesterday to buy this 4g mifi it is still short but they have 4g wingle in stock so i said to sales person i only want 4g mifi and the sales person promised me to deliver the mifi device to my home but now again when i asked about the 4g coverage they said my area is not covered with 4g however it is covered with 3g so I ordered it however there r 2 different coverage maps on zong website of 4g coverage in one map my area is covered with 4g but on the other it is not.
So i wanna ask u guys here that how many guys r getting 4g signals in ur area that is not covered by zong on its coverage map

About a month ago I saw 4G mifi device at PWD Franchise. I had also gone to Blue Area franchise they also did not have this device, nor Saddar main CSC and they told me that Waris Khan outlet had been made hub of MBB devices. They also have an outlet in F-10.

My area is fully covered on both Warid and Zong LTE coverage map, but still i get 1-2 4G signals indoor maximum at ground floor, no signals in basement.

Both network base station are within ~1 km away from my house.

So its better to check coverage with the device itself, before you purchase it.

I don't trust these coverage map too much, they are just an estimate.

I get 1 bar 4G signal strength while typing this [emoji14].

On main PWD road, I think two three plaza ahead of Latif/Noor Chemists above Tanti optics, opposite Faysal Bank

I am getting 3 signals of 4g in my office, the speed I get with 3 signals of 4g is less than full signals of 3g

Yesterday moved around in car n when the mobile app showed full 4g signals did a speed test n it went up to 26mbps

on 3g it is max 10 mbps

any antenna aval for the device as it has input of antenna in it?

I am not a heavy downloader. Hope that the issue is resolved otherwise it will be a waste of 3,500 rupees for me.

OK so today went to blue area frenchise to get this device but they also don't ave it in stock then I went to saddar main office and got the device finally the lady said me it will be activate after 1.5 hours ok so after the mentioned time passed I checked the device but there is a red sign at the signals place means that device is not picking up signals wth I also connected it to computer and there it says that plz check your sim card and restart it tried it also but no success called zong helpline also they said that everything at there end is fine u need to visit our one of the offices near u to check this problem.
Feeling dishearted now wasted my whole day for getting this device but now it is not working.

There are two sims in the packet. Insert the one on which it is written broadband and insert the normal sim, not cut to mini sim (like the one for Iphone). My son cut the sim in mini format from the card and it did not work. I again inserted the sim into the hollow plastic and it again became normal size sim and started working.

Daraz rep called me and told me that package cannot be changed, however, they offered me 1,000 rs voucher as compensation. I said I would not take it, I should be given what I purchased and it is in writing. He had been calling me three four times and said that tomorrow he will again make effort to change the package to 3-month bundle.

So is there anyone in clifton block 7 karachi who has this device and can tell me their speeds?

How are some people getting 20 and 40mpbs speeds in isl and lahore....are there more towers there or something?

And people keep mentioning warid. What are there internet packages i can only find their mobile internet packages
