Zong is one of the best, for both 3G and 4G.

You have low signal problems. If the 3G signals are very low, the phone automatically shifts to 2G mode to maintain connectivity. This is what's happening to you.

Zong sucks in simple words (only in the area where you use it because of low signals).

You can try speedtest in any other open area.

Actually I brought vfone back in 2008 and signals in my house are weak so my father brought the antenna I don't remember from where he brought it. Then later used the same with evo.

Previously when Vfone service was up and running, PTCL also used to sell roof antennas for Vfone at their OSS. They used to work. People would just get a converter Pin to connect that antenna to EVO and mostly that also used to work with it. Not sure if they still sell those.

tested lte wingle 3 months back n speed was hardly 1mbps here
tested today again, it seems like it has a built in antenna or something as it was able to catch 4g signals which my cell cant even on roof top, i get 2 3g signal bars in my room where as 4g wingle showed 3 4g bars n speed of 10-15mbps, tested on cell again same speed of less than 100kb/s with 2bars of 3g, n even on roof top speed of 700kb/s max with full bars of 3g
how come full bars on roof but just 2 on first floor, n in my adjacent room it shifted to 2g where as wingle stayed on 4g with 3 bars

wingle is not my own, i want the same on my cell phone, dont know y the difference is so much

Huawei Mifi has got better signals reception due to larger built-in antenna. Smartphones usually lack that.

the same thing really. I get more 4g signals on my wingle than any mobile in my house whether it be a top or low end device.

Does you phone support external antenna? If answer is in positive then buy a roof antenna, hook it at your back and carry it with you. Cut the roof of your car to fit the antenna in car. You will never face low signals issue.

Like Mifi is different from Wingle? Nope. Both are "Mobile Wifi". The only difference is their shapes and built in battery for one version. Both are powered over USB. Hook your wingle in any USB port even in power bank and there you go, you have internet on the go.

Wingle reception is still a lot better than cell phone. And it has got antenna port too.

btw there is an option of external antenna on the wingle as well, actually there r 2 ports for that both showing signal bar on their cover

as for wingle, power bank also works, n the things that i tested, just plug it in ur charger, or in car or even in ur cell as well with usb OTG cable n it worked perfectly though looks weird that way hahaha

Those Korean region phones have external antenna for 'TV only', lol. But they can be used for placebo effect [emoji14].

Yeah, additionally you can place the device where signal strength is strongest.

To find a place where signal strength is strongest, you can also check signal strength from smartphones.

Settings > About device > Status > Signal strength (ASU) and Mobile network type.

Higher ASU = higher signal strength.

The signal bars just give an approximate idea of signal strength which is not always very accurate.

*Note:2G/3G and 4G have their own signal strengths. So it is always worth noting 'mobile network type' too. Test with mobile data on.

The screenshot attached shows 44 ASU signal strength on LTE network.

so higher asu means better signals right?
i checked it with full signals, speed was good too but it was just 14asu
