Do u own ZONG 4G sim or a normal ZONG sim? Even if u own 4G sim call 310 and ask them to activate 4g services on ur number then check it I have passed not exactly similar but very close situation as of urs

its a 4g sim that i got for free with the 4g wingle

btw can we use normal regular data sim in the wingle for better reception? as packages r cheaper if u dont need that much of net

Mifi and ZONG wingle are one and same in case of signal reception and even on cell phone almost no difference in speed

Yes u can I used my old ZONG sim on wingle as well after converting it to 4g (got duplicate)

Yes. If the device is unlocked. Zong mobile broadband devices are already unlocked.

BTW I am already using an HTC 1A USB charger that came with my old smartphone to power my Zong Mifi. Previously I was using it to power Evo Wingle. Despite of being up and running 24/7 for past 7 months, this charger has never given up on me.

I would recommend everyone to use at least 1A charger with any Mifi for faster battery charging. (internal battery circuitry allows specific charge rate. So, 2A or 3A USB chargers does not help unless device supports them.)

Used it for a year and in start it was 3-7 Mbps but after 2 months it stated to go downhill and settled at 0.70-1.00mbps.

Speed is upto 9.3 Mbps in non-peak hours (I have experienced that). But the biggest problem with this thing is stability. It is running on same old crappy Evo network which PTCL deployed in 2009. They just added more transmitters to multiply basic 3.1 Mbps speed. So, if any transmitter stops working, speed goes down or internet gets disconnected. And it happens too often.

Instead get Charji. New network may be more stable.

i checked it with full signals, speed was good too but it was just 14asu

Yeah, 12 ASU or higher for 3G is very good for indoors. I usually get 10-16 ASU indoors on Zong 3G and their tower is approximately half kilometer away from my place.

Lol. Your phone is supported for 4G in Pakistan.

Yeah, additionally you can place the device where signal strength is strongest.

To find a place where signal strength is strongest, you can also check signal strength from smartphones.

Settings > About device > Status > Signal strength (ASU) and Mobile network type.

Higher ASU = higher signal strength.

The signal bars just give an approximate idea of signal strength which is not always very accurate.

*Note:2G/3G and 4G have their own signal strengths. So it is always worth noting 'mobile network type' too. Test with mobile data on.

The screenshot attached shows 44 ASU signal strength on LTE network.

You forgot to look at 'mobile network type' in that sceenshot, it was 44 asu on LTE (Warid) indoors.

so i tested this app along with 4g on my cell, will discuss it in detail but for now, it kept shifting between 4g to 3g n sometimes even to 3g, there were many cell towers but it connected to 1sector away tower for 4g and very very far off tower for 3g even though 4g tower was closer, and sometimes connected to a 2g tower in between, i fail to understand y it connected to 3g tower n that too of so far area, one time it connected to a little far one but speed was the same of 100kb/s for each 3g tower, dont know y it kept shifting from 4g to 3g, i have an option of 3g only but not LTE only otherwise would select just that, also there r towers scattered around me n em kind of in the middle of them, the arrow pointing towards the cell tower shows me towards top left corner but sometimes it shifts down to bottom right corner, seems it keeps jumping between cell towers the top left pointer gave 4g but lower right gave just 3g

got 6 asu for 3g and 34asu for lte
n going to roof top made no difference for 4g, it was showing full signals for 4g but even then it shifted to 3g

even for my mobilink number this app shows that red string joining with some very far off tower, y doesnt it connects to the near one? even when its just gsm now
