Been a while since i visited this thread.....infact its been a while since i visited this forum for that matter but anyways i want to bring everyone's attention to something......now this is something which most of you might be already aware of but still.....

Zong charges GST separately as compared to other service providers whose packages are inclusive of taxes.....now i had been using the mobile internet bundle known as "Super weekly" which is basically Rs100 2GB for 7 days........used to do a recharge of Rs132 and Rs100 used to come and than i activated the bundle.......now recently with the imposition of 19.5% GST on internet in punjab i have come to know that zong was charging GST to other provinces from last year.

Now in order to avail the "super weekly" package i need to do a recharge of Rs160 after which Rs120 come and i can activate the package as now the package is for 119.5 (19.5%GST). Meanwhile all the rest of the operators have their GST within their package amount which may Rs100,75 or whatever respectively.

So where Zong no doubt is providing excellent data service in terms of speed and quality its considerably more expensive as well.

These parasitic mobile network companies take double/triple tax from us and don't even pay a single dime from their own pockets. Even the income tax of employees is also stolen from the consumers pockets which is the duty of individuals to pay from their own salary.

First they will charge taxes on load then they will again charge tax on activating packages (including internet, call and sms packages). No body can question their unethical business practices.

Just bought it. 50GB per month 2,500 rs. Paid just 13000 for six months and got the device free.

And also got 10GBs 4G data 300 onnet minutes, 500 sms on free sim in the package.

Speed was good in F-7/2, but not in Pindi, near Bahria Ace Academy. Just 114kbs when I downloaded a 3.5GB torrent file from Piratebay, it could be due to almost no seeds. Last year it was good around 1 mbps torrent download.

I had the same six monthly package which ended on 8 July, wondering if its worth renewing or not, since I already have high speed ptcl connection and mobile has ufone 3g...

i was not satisfied with the fluctuations/inconsistencies in speed.

As far as MBB packages are concerned i think the one year plan is the best....

Basically its Rs18000 50GB/month for 12 months

Its not exactly 12 months but rather (12*30) = 360 days

But nevertheless assuming it to be 12 months...per month it comes to 18000/12 = Rs1500/month

Now Rs1500/month for 50GB's is i think pretty good.......and in my area speeds are relatively good as well so its an excellent option for me.

Sir torrents are usually restricted on bundle packages. (it is called FUP) fair usage policy implementation.

You can get this checked with Zong :).

The 50 GB 6 month package is for Rs 10,000. You paid 13,000. So your device is not free. If service center guys said that they lied.'

Zong keeps throttling torrents speed. After 1 AM speed on torrents increase a lot. Also seeds matter.

The sim came with zong hec evo (zte MF710M) is not running in any other device. Althouh other devices recognizes this sim as zong and shows signals but data connection after turning on gives no internet access. I wanted to use this sim in huwaei E5330 wifi devices which supports all sims. Any idea what can be done?

From which site you r downloading torrents?
Secondly zong started throttling torrents so u get crap speeds on day time. Best time for torrent downloading starts from 2am-5am u will even get 2mbps.

Yes. But on torrent speed is affected by so many factors.

It can be an issue with your 4G device or you may have weak 4G signals in your area.

I just did this test in DHA, Lahore.

Though I don't think you can get this kind of speed on regular Zong Device. I am using TP-Link 4G router with Zong data sim in it. The Huawei devices which Zong or any other telecom sells in Pakistan are crap. They give very inconsistent speeds.

There is no issue with the device. It can give upto 150 Mbps. It's the issue of weak signals or busy network in the area.

Are you looking for 3G or 4G enabled tires for your bike?
