3GR/4GR vs 3SGE beams: Which one is good?

Dear Members
I am Bit Confused
Between Beams & 4GR/3GR
which Engine is good for Reliability and Parts also what are Commons Problems in These Engine ?
What Things need to Check them Before Buying ?
i don't want to go with JZ's Because of There Weight & Size
Currently Running A 3SFE with Destroyed Wiring
I also have choice of Keep this Engine & Rebuild It Does it Worth It ?
i am on stock Diff Does it needs to change with 3GR/4FR
Because I check My Diff Matches With Beams With 6 Forward

Also my accelerator Wire Is broken How to fix That
also this engine Not Starting I removed the line From Fuel Tank
Direct Fuel into Injectors but Still its Not Starting but Cranking
didn't Check Spark Plugs
but when I Parked it Last Time it Was Start
I removed Fuel Tank because to get Repainting it
and i find more Problem There the Fuel pump is Altered
& not Sucking Fuel Below about 15 Liters mean you have to put At least 15 Liters of Fuel In it To get Start

Why don't you stack up for Sr20?
You can change the wire inside the cable with new one.
Check the spark first.
And hang the pump little lower inside the tank.

brother SR20 is a Great Engine
but maintaining is Problem
also Specially In Sialkot
the where i Live NO OLD CARS Existed here
No Mechanics for these cars
also not availability any Garage where people can take there cars for Swap
if you want to Swap a engine no one can help you have to take car & engine to Lahore
also very few Real Car Enthusiast her
mostly are RICERS those who take there at deco shops put diffuser rims and they think they know each and every thing

Prefer beams.
And still be ready to do half of stuff yourself.

Have to do myself and half of the work had to take a good Garage in Lahore

Then you wouldn't need a big workshop to do it for you.

some of us when plan a swap we ensure to make, connect & test the wiring when engine & ecu are out of the vehicle skeleton. only after completing such task, the actual work is undertaken, as in mounting adjustments air intake placement and metal surgery if needed. @SER_GTR

you have choice to rework and rebuild the 3SFE that too will not disappoint you for driving comfort and fuel economy. Indus marketed RAV4 for very short time that CBU variant from Thailand has the same 3SFE engine.

sparks are ok i checked it fuel also i put the fuel in pipe to injectors and give it a start but its
not starting but Cranking perfectly so what can be the Problem ?

Check if injectors are getting voltages or not.
between does check light appears when you turn on the ignition?

You need multimeter for it.
One wire of injector would be 12v ignition and other ground pulse from ecu.

can i remove those and test ?

Remove the connectors only. No need to take injectors off.

Check/test the cold start Injector (the red marked area over the intake manifold, it has a fuel line running to it).

At cold engine Remove the wiring connector from the Injector and check the resistance between its terminals. If the engine is cold the resistance should be between 3 - 5 ohms.

Also, check for voltage at the terminals of the wiring harness (with ignition switch on).

Caution: Be sure that the ignition switch is "off" during the resistance check, battery voltage (12v) can ruin your ohm meter.

Also check if the fuel line is primed at ignition key ON. Perhaps injector rail does not have enough fuel pressure, check for fuel pump and the filter in fuel tank.

GR engines are newer have better technology and more power torque as well as fuel economy but they require hi octane. They ate smoother too but arranging wiring and ecu is a hassle

If Toyota GR engines are a hassle, then I can only laugh when you see something like a mercedes m276 engine.

Imagine a guy buying a 3gr and taking it to a mechanic for swap. He has no ecu and the witing is f*** up. And it needs to be swapped into an older car. Yeah its complex for local mechanics

it is brother is this the reason people don't swap GR engines in Older cars
That's why people still sticking with JZ's
