Paye to Manna Meadows
Paye to hills on foot of Makra peak
Saif-ul-Muluk to Malika Parbat base camp
Try Sambak Sar Lake trek. It is just 45 minutes trek from jeep road.

These are all light treks for start of the career

It depends.

Paye and Saif-ul-Muluk treks are free treks.

For Sambak Sar, u will have to hire a special jeep from Naran or Jalkhad which will cost around 6-7K. So, this is an expensive trip Though u can include Jalkhad, Lulusar Lake, Babusar Pass in same trip.

You can do Manna Meadows and Malika Parbat base camp in same trip very easily. Both can be done in 5 hours with return.

Paye hill tops can be a bit tough so keep it low on priority.

Manna Meadows is the one which somewhat is similar to Mukshpuri as it is between the trees at quite some places.

Paye to hills is open trek over the meadows.
Malika Parbat base camp is open trek with towering mountains on all sides.
Sambak Sar is also open trek with mountains all around.

I enjoyed the thread throughly. Seemed like the real part starts from the base camp but for now I think we should be limited to base camp only, due to time constraint.

So the first day would be Lake Saif-al-Maloke and trek to Base Camp.

What should be our itinerary for 2nd day?

We'll be using our own transport and our departure date and time is: Thursday, June 28 at 11PM, so ideally we'll be in Abbottabad between 5 to 6 pm.
We'd like to take some rest in Abbottabad may be 2 to 3 hours to take a short nap.
Ideally we'll be leaving Abbottabad at 9 - 10 AM (Friday June 29).

From Abbottabad, go to Shogran, Sri Paye and if u do Manna Meadows trek then u will have to stay at Shogran. Otherwise, if u don't do the trek then u can easily reach Naran in the evening.

30 June, Visit Lalazar early morning and go to Saif-ul-Muluk. Spend the day there and do your trek to the base camp. You can camp at lake (rent a tent there as quite a few are available) and if u plan so then u don't have to rent hotel in Naran for the day. Otherwise go back to Naran and night stay there.

1 July: Long day and starting early is a very good option as it usually rains in afternoon in upper Kaghan Valley almost on daily basis. Jalkhad, Lulusar, Babusar pass.

Optionals depending on time are: Nuri Top from Jalkhad or Sambak Sar Lake/Dharam Sar Lake from Babusar.

Return back to Naran.

2nd July: Spend time till lunch in Naran and then start return leg till Abbottabad. Stay there and leave early morning around 3-4 a.m. for Lahore and reach back before your targeted time.

Day 1, Friday June 29: Shogran, Siri, Paye
Optional: Either do Manna Meadows trek or leave for Naran

Day 2, Saturday June 30: Lalazar >> Lake Saif al Maluk >> Trek to Base Camp
Optional: Either camp at lake or go back and stay in Naran

Day 3, Sunday July 01: Jalkhad >> Lulusar >> Babusar Top
Optional: Nuri Top from Jalkhad or Sambak Sar from Babusar

Back to Naran

Day 4, Monday July 02: Wander around and explore Naran and leave back for Abbottabad in the afternoon

You can enjoy the drive till Jalkhad and hire jeep from there onwards. The cars go till Babusar in July-Sep and if u r willing to do the adventure then confirm Babusar access and go ahead. Best person to confirm is the local transport vehicles running between Chillas/Babusar village and Batakundi/Naran. If u will ask jeep drivers in Jalkhad then u will get their version only

Since, Babusar is already open so i expect access till Babusar Top to be clear by 20-25 June for all vehicles.

Trouble areas for cars will be glaciers between Jalkhad and Besal and between Lulusar and Gittidas. If these glaciers are gone by the time of your trip then drive to Babusar should not be an issue at all.

The most difficult part of the drive is between Babusar and Babusar village on the other side which u guys not gonna go to.

The whole road beyond Jalkhad is not paved but quite wide. Rains create mud slush and cars may get stuck.

Expect the max rates as your trip dates are at the peak of peak season

Shogran-Sri Paye round trip may cost around 2K-3K
Lalazar and Saif-ul-Muluk 3-4K
Babusar pass 5-6K from Naran and 3-4K from Jalkhad

If u include Nuri Top or Sambak Sar in same trip then maybe add another 2K.

Use Google Chrome latest version and i think it will work fine :)

If u want to do Ansoo Lake then u have to start very early from Saif-ul-Muluk like 6-7 a.m.

Your best bet is use horses till maidan area above base camp. Then start hiking from there. You will have to agree with locals in first place that u want to go to ansoo lake and u are hiring horses till maidan area. They may charge around 800-1000 per horse.

Trust the horses during the climb and keep a tight grip with weight on front :)

Once in maidan area, start the trek from there onwards.

Rates will be high as it is busy season now.
