what severe conditions? people arent driving on venus. Also, pakistan isnt the hottest country on planet. Manufacturers are using even 0w16 in Gulf/ South US and we are still not ready to use manufacturer`s recommended 0w20 where it is applicable

Bro i am not against anyone here. I just need a sincere opinion. Everyone is right in their own perspective. But i wanted to see what the experts have to say to get an idea and conclude it. Obviously i would go with the opinion that makes sense to me​

Sir gilf mein 53-55 degree celcius common hai, even in south US. Fuel acha bi milta hai agar aap dalwana chahen. These are not severe conditions you are talking about. Even if they are, manufacturers have already done their homework before recommending the oil grade. And there farmosre "dusty" places on earth than our southern regions

its not about expert opinion. Always follow the thinnest viscosity recommended in the owner`s manual. And keep one thing in mind, its not the ambient temperature that determines the best oil viscosity, it is the engine design. You should ideally be using 5w30, but as long as you dont put too much stress on car, 0w20 will also work fine, but again, no one here is as expert as the manufacturer of the engine

Wasn't Xulfiqar Sir the first person to say that high viscosity oil will give bad fuel economy and acceleration? How come I got 0-100 at 9 seconds with 5w50 and fuel economy of 17km/l on 120km/h? Checked with brim to brim fuel top up?
Fuel economy and acceleration time remained the same even on 5w30 amsoil or total.
Any explanations about it?
Why toyota dealerships use 5w50 taglon instead od 5w30? Although they have 5w30 in their shelves.

Its not about fuel economy on one set speed. And obviously the 5w30 and 5w50 have got the same base viscosity but different characteristics on operating temperatures. Anyway, dealerships are not the manufacturers adn if they are using 5w50 then are doing it wrong. Always use the manufacturer`s recommended grade

I dont follow dealerships at all. Most of the times, even they don't update their knowledge and follow the conventional recommendations given to them years ago. You have to look for each and everything by your own and ask them to do it that way
Don't know about other cities, but i belong to mardan city KP, and here they are not upto the mark. They recommended me 5,50 and i was like, are you serious?
