it is his vehicle his monies and we shall all respect his choice. all we can do is offer an opinion based on technicalities, personal usage and results.
What your opinion bro? Which one do you favor and why?
@dms664 you are not serious ? if you are, please flag this post for deletion
5w30 fully synthetic api sn plus is now available in caltex. Do try. U ll love it.
Is it? 5w30 in havoline? As i was looking to confirm it in another thread?
Sir jee mazraat qabool but saw the galaxy of star experts here so thot k chalte chalte pouch lon instead of making a thread
I have no issues Ma sha Allah brake is perfect but here on pw ppl say to change it after a certain period so that keera took me to dealership
Dear salmanIf you dont stress your car too much and do not drive at 160 km per hour for 1200 km in one go then 0w20 is way to go.Already one senior member @autophile is using 0w20 in his grande and he is more than happy.
However if like haseeb bhai you are fond of high speed driving etc then use 5w30.Hope that helps
And, I thought that I only had such a 'keera'.
Please tell name of the dealership that didn't butcher you. It will be beneficial to many of us.
Foreman is an acquaintance hence he spared me and told me not to say this in front of the service manager.
@dms664
flush the brake fluid, after 80,000 kms it is already over due. flush the radiator and replenish with fresh caltex coolant please
locate thread of owner's manual by @autophile he very kindly shared the pages mentioning periodic maintenance table for replace / top up items.
Sir i am confused
Well i am not fond of driving at high speeds for hours on motorway. I do over speed but not beyond 140km/h and that too for may be a 100 or 200kms at the most.
Then i think 0w20 is fine keeping in view the fact that now winters are approaching so even ambient temperature issue will also not be there.
Ok. Value your opinion bro.
What your final take on this?
What does @Xulfiqar bhai has to say as a final verdict??
sir It is your car, use your wisdom i will not waste your time. if 78 comments / opinions can not give you a direction, am sorry No body can
Sir sorry to say but out of the 78 comments, 70% of them have been heading towards the space...Only a few have answered my query in simple words? And i haven't been able to conclude out of the mixed opinions therfore taking everyone's individual opinion. Its ok if you are bothered, feel free to avoid it as your role has been no less than a spectator's here
Xulfiqar shall give the final verdict.
Before that, I may say that if I were you I would continue with 0w20 for another oil change interval, then decide which oil grade to use next (if at all).
Yeah. Looking forward to that. Btw thanks mate for your opinion
