Ofcourse. Especially since it's very poor from insulation point of view and you actually feel the heat from underneath the dashboard, from the handbrake and gear console.

Dair aye, drust aye. Get it done properly, change the condenser. Make a long lasting system, not just that will do. Get a proper quotation from him and then go for it. Aik bar khata glass peejain and enjoy your chilled aircon

Just drive it in knickers and keep the pants/jeans/shalwar handy. Wear them on top of the knickers when getting down till the time the AC is fixed.

your guy is using a dead compressor to pull vacuum - This is useless.

your guy is flushing ac with the same compressor to push air in the condenser and the boy moving it side to side - LOL - This is useless, you need an air compressor with filter pushing a flushing bottle.

Your guy didnt notice the weak discharge pipe - This is useless

Your guy said - that we dont have to pull to -29 in hg because we have oil in system - LOL - beyond useless logic.

I already knew you were going to face same issues all over again. And thats why I recommended to install a PF condenser, flush whole unit, charge with R134a, Find someone who has a vacuum pump, not a piece of trash compressor and someone who actually knows what refrigeration is. - Such people are not just on forums.

e.g. Sabir in Karachi knows refrigeration inside out. He does good work and charges for his skill. (his charge is higher than average shop and will straight out refuse if your car is piece mealed together or is an ancient relic with no new parts support)

I remember that the 80 series cruiser has pretty decent insulation there, is the exhaust heatshield and carpet padding missing?

No sir everything is there but the heat seeps through into the cabin. Btwn I read it twice from different members that they were facing the same problem. @tintin1 are you also facing this problem? @sameerulhaq064?

Hmm mm learnings I spent my $$on my own vehicles to learn. Bit in your case as I had today upgraded my crown evaporater to h block valve type with r12 it was trash. So I shifted back to expansion valve evaporater and flushed the whole system with aceton and then reinstalled the dryer and filled in the R12 on a compressor with labels of r134 only. And guess what the cooling was absolutely nothing. So I extracted the old refrigent and flushed the system again and put in a new dryer and filled it with r134a and wow the same compressor performs well.

So my conclusion on compressors is never use the compressor and evaporater designed for r134 on r12 gas and same for other too.

My cressida has r12 type compressor and evaporater so it performs well on r12.

Well, yes. I have noticed that the center console and the lower part of dashboard feels a bit warmer but it is nothing significant (noticable when you touch it, but not significant).
Funny thing is that I've never felt this on the FZJ. The AC blows ice cold air Ma Sha Allah and insulation seems to be better.
