its true boss.but i am just thinking why the hell these people tell lies to sell their tires ?

actually they appeared to have very nice gesture, nice dressing, come & sit in the AC room, Chai + Pani, etc. etc. And during discussions you believe that they are the only one in whole PK who are selling original products.

have you been living under a rock? again I said time and again. Its 2019 and information is available at your fingertips if you own a smart phone.

For you - chai pani, bhaibandi - sweet talk is top most priority, Anyone can see through you and sell you whatever they want - Sorry man - cant help someone who forcefully wants to jump into quicksand.

stock tire size is usually the best and especially in auto transmission. Are you sure its 265/65, recheck as these might be smaller than stock tire size for 80s. Bigger tires on an auto tranny truck should be installed if there is a reason/requirement e.g. offroad use, clearance. With 17s, Diff ratio will not change but the tire diameter (height) will change and it will impact the mpg/kml and power. Lets explain in the terms you understand,

when you have to make "katta" for your pet buffaloes and have a peter engine to spin the blade, you have to choose the right pulley to get the correct "chakkar" of the blade, otherwise the blade can stall and cause injury. Larger blade spins slower if the peter engine pulley is kept same. (Use this same thing to understand gearing too - gannay ka russ machine also is same concept)

large tires wont kill the diff unless you are trying to do burns outs in your truck - then the diff breaks from stress as the wheels are heavier (more torque required to spin) - the speedo will be out of sync also as the larger wheels have lesser rpm for a given speed.

larger and smaller means - total diameter of complete wheel and tire assembly.

typical stories of such tire sellers - they know they cannot sell a 9 year old tire set and they must have prayed to their God a thousand times for a customer like you..... I can guarantee if you went even in the next hour they would tell you that your old tires are already sold/gone/scrap etc. etc.

If you want to speak of nature - then by nature a cat can attack a pigeon easily - You are the best of best biological creations want to act like a pigeon - then all I can do is eat some popcorn.

sorry man - you are a lost cause - best sell this truck and buy something else that doesnt require you to look for "lots of technical things"

I advised you to buy a sedan like corolla which will be best for you costs nothing in terms of maintenance just regular oil changes keeps going and going. Better sale this money pit, and get a corolla 2012 onwards.

And all members please arrange a open auction and help our mate sell his beast. Or else some one please tell him that pindi is the big mandii of tyres for jeeps so add in some diesel and travel here good tyres would cost you around 50-70 k.
I got mine for 1.2 lacks brand new.

Or ask him to visit farooqaa naii again and in the total opposite direction is the pindis largest tyre market. He will get good deal from there.

Today I am really in the mood for selling this 4x4 jeep. These are not for the persons like me. Though keeping it was my childhood dream. But i never thought this jeep could be so money eating !!! 🥺

With all the wealth of knowledge available due to many seniors flocking to this thread, it's an impossibility that you end up getting duped on a matter as trivial as the terrain and year of manufacture of tires.

I've been following this thread silently since its inception and have always felt that @capsat bhai has been a bit excessive in his attitude towards yourself especially when he was convinced that you've bought old tires when you assured that they are 2018. Now I cant believe he was right all along ‍♂️

Anyone can either do his own due diligence or rely on others' advice - if he does neither, then how can he avert disaster?
