the video done by youtube chrisfix - is very normal procedure done to restore lights professionally.

You sand them and apply UV resistant polyurethane coating like factory did. Its not a simple task unless you are very careful.

toothpaste or baking soda cleans plastic too (its mild abrasive) - but without clear coat it will oxidise again, Its ok for older cars whose headlights will only last one more cleaning.

WD40 just wets the plastic to change the refractive index rendering a clear lens, but it washes away. You can use olive oil instead of WD40 to wet it too.

You need that abrasive to remove that yellow haze - then a coating that physically bonds to the plastic (like paint bonds to primer)

car wax doesnt make good mechanical bond with anything - it is a removable coat.

its called petroleum jelly - vaseline is a brand name, the old tibet pomade (orange) was also petroleum jelly and it literally said so.

You can buy johnson and johnson and mothercare petroleum jelly. Anywhere and any half decent pharmacy and karyana store know that - Asking oil shop for petroleum jelly and getting blank stares means they are stupid and should not do this business,

Calling petroleum jelly as vaseline is like calling laundry detergent as surf - if you do call it that then please return your educational documents as they are a waste of effort.

you can get a cheapo one and it still works

its just a brand name import which makes it cost alot

i am sure in this price you can get much more of a local brand

Look For It In Market.. there are imported ones but they are expensive...the expensive AUDIO shops keep them sometimes as they connect huge amps with them....some aftermarket business people also keep terminals ...

If Not Then can get it from aliexpress also...that item can be shipped easily in small package...you will find rubber boots for it too...

for UPS the conventional one works ok as long as they are timely maintained and cleaned and coated with petroleum jelly or silicon grease

I prefer to suggest the most commonly available brand names in Pakistan as it reduces the chances of confusion. No harm in calling it Vaseline as it is the most widely available product of it's kind.

Regular petroleum based grease (Brown) available in the market is also fine but over the years, I have moved to an easier and less messy solution. I spray a thin coat of Silicone WD40 on the terminals. You will have to repeat it every month as it's a bit runny but woks fine and easy to clean off as well.
Petroleum Jelly also turns liquid when hot, so the end result will be the same.

Traders sell this by the kg, you can ask for perfume or plain. Same product.

They call it petroleum jelly or its real name "petrolatum"

If you say vaseline to them, they will probably refuse to sell because they know this customer is not smart.

I used to buy kgs of it (super duper cheap) its good for wounds n cuts, battery terminals, repairing automatic transmissions, packing oil pumps etc.

Good stuff..

No use buying little jar called vaseline, expensive for no reason.. and why does this bottle have arabic on it? Khaypya maal from uae?
