TinTin is the biggest contributor on this thread and was flamed quite enough on non issues. In comes this guy who starts lecturing him about engine oil. I just wanted to put a stop to it. Engine oil = Motor Oil PERIOD.

Which word or sentence is inappropriate. Kindly quote it here and I will remove it. I haven't been able to find it. The real distasteful posts have already been taken care of.

I also do not attend phone calls for such stuff on sundays or saturdays - leave a message - or text and you will be attended to after the weekend. REASON..

we have families too - our lives dont revolve around other peoples failures.

btw - if you had the pipe and it was a 2 minute job, why didnt you change it yourself?

when you are in a business - you entertain 100s of calls per week - and then we collectively agree not to field any phone calls over the weekend, Its against common decency and ethics, call in business hours.

How would you like if I called you and pestered you to open up your business to serve my need just because I want! - To hell with your personal and family time.

These acts of extra mile are only allowed for "close friends or relations or disaster type situation" - not regular customers and clients.

unless its a flag call and when they are ready to pay premium they call via correct protocol with an explanation why & how shall they be paying premium which is 5 times the regualr per hour charge.

Here in Pak unfortunately if one like myself do not attend a customer call in off day than it straight away goes to the director..... Sadly to say this happens in Pak.

Unless you are paid to work on weekend, dont offer free work, your customers should not be calling a person for help but rather a calling bridge. Pretty lame operation.

I lived in pk, was employed for a bit too, did my own gigs and even then had the same approach and attitude, meaning unless you are family, close freind or needy helpless neighbor, dont bug me over days off or weekends.

Or if your UPS flakes out at 4am in the morning, do you call up your UPS repair guy to come and immediately fix it at 4am because they are slaves to you?

just two days back my aunt expired at 2 AM, my cousin informed us at 3 and called to get the place in grave yard. as it was 3 AM i told him its not feasible to call the community member who looks after grave yard so i will call him just after Fajar prayers and my issue was resolved. some times we have to realize or rethink what is right and what is wrong. May Allah bless us all.
