What I think happened is that you tried to shop around for "sasta and mayaari" - two words that should never be coupled together.
In every field of work 90% of people can do 90% of work and they are usually cheap too, but to get that rest 10%, you need to find the other 10% of people and they are usually 50% more expensive as they have invested in their trade.
e.g. you posted pictures of machine work but I could literally see that they just used diesel/kerosene to clean the engine - which is wrong, Any decent mechanic uses hot water and soap to remove machine shop debris. The skills of your chosen mechanic were aptly displayed when he chose to not remove welch plugs, use thick body RTV on the bed plate and also use a tommy bar to tighten the bed plate and goof up the timing tensioner installation along with installing a snapped off torque converter - Such mechanics are fired from any decent workshop immediately.
Not tooting horns or anything - but in my experience its a wasted effort to spend money on a half attempt as that half money is just like you taking all the money you spent and setting fire to it.
Your experience is not unique - I know lots and lots of car owners in Pakistan that faced similar fate with their money. 80% of them owned european cars and the collosal screwups I used to see were epic level. Same people visited me before and refused to pay my fee and parts cost because I was straight forward and higher priced. They later had to rid of the car as it was beyond repair sometimes. (smashed transmission casing from broken front driveshaft etc).
If Im buying torque wrenches, thread chasers, angle gauges, engine stands, blast cabinets, workbenches, tools, diagnostic tooling, cleaning apparatus etc etc. and spend my time educating myself to get your equipment to 100% spec. Im going to charge the customer appropriately as Im in a business to make money.
