Sir, alongwith the tools, having proper
knowledge is very important otherwise one (the person like tintin) can be
messing things up rather than fixing.
I recently met with some guys in twin cities
and they have enormous knowledge. And guess what, autos is hobbies only. Primarily
one guy is Bank Manager, other is Professor, another has higher degree in
Accounts, other is govt. officer, other is decorated officer in uniform, etc.
etc.
But all of them are together in one group because
of their common hobby of Autos/4x4s/Racing Jeeps. We can literally see them with
rolled up sleeps and laying under their vehicles for different repair works/jobs/altrations.
And they are doing it for years & years.
And literally they are teaching mechanics to do this thing in that way, and
that thing in this way.
And I strongly feel that if I have such friends
in my own city, then I can literally take any challenging repair works to next
level (as per expectations of the people who contributed in this thread).
