If I would be looking for a car like an old crown - I would have been looking for a mercedes benz E320 etc.

They are fantastic - but in my opinion only, They are money pits in Pakistan because people love to shove pricey and different chemicals in them and have illiterate mechanics work on them. Never spend on actual repairs but spend highly on detailing.

yes - Honda accord and toyota camry are in same category.

Toyota Crown is several levels higher than camry.

Please do a proper closing of this thread with a brief account of your experience with the Land Cruiser 80 and the important lessons learnt during its maintenance.

One could have halved the cost if they were a regular land cruiser owner.

Regular land cruiser owners have a good equipped workshop at home.

Becoming nawaab type owner with any model LC in Pakistan will empty your pockets quickly, because 80% mechanics are cons and only see customer as walking atm machines.

The rest screwup is done by owner himself with “sarviss tayshun, champi paalish, sastee jugaar, coolant is expensive and kuch nahi hota mindset.

These were all moti moti details in know. If wesum up all, then cost becomes 1.15 mil

If you had added half of this to your purchase price and bought a mint one, you wouldn't have had such a bad experience. But at least you learned something from this....

This appears to be the norm of the norm of the game.
The learning part is valuable, as @tintin1 said, he learned it the hard way, and I am in the process of going through it myself. @Xulfiqar said it true, equip yourself to be handy with car and let go of the 'kuch nahi hota' mentality.

If all this didn't add extra grey to your hair then you're probably the man of steel.
As you mentioned earlier as well, you kept this car as daily driver and had to go through all this mechanical challenges. Salute.
