CL is the JDM series - CL7 has a 2.0 engine and CL9 has a 2.4. Both come with varying options as far as features are concerned.
CM series is a parallel series which was sold here by Honda Atlas, and is also known as Thai Accord. CM5 is pre facelift and CM6 is the facelift version, both have 2.4 engines.
If Im not wrong, CL7/CL9 have the 200 HP versions engines of K20 and K24 while CM has the 160 HP version?

2002-2005 for CL series and 2005-2007 for CM or thai
Yes, CL9 has the higher revving more powerful version of the K24 compared to the CM5 and CM6. CL7 has a K20 engine.
CL series mostly ranges from 2002-2005, as the 2006-2007 facelift versions are very rare here. CM5 is from 2005 and CM6 (facelift of CM5) is from 2006 and 2007.
Sir is it true that models between 2004 to 2011 have problems in automatic gear ?
land cruisers?
not LC Sir, I was asking about Honda Accord models
All honda automatics are a bit "faulty" - they are not as rugged built as any other automatic and suffer quite bad when neglected.
Another problem is that Pk people expect them to shift like cadillacs (super smooth) while they are more tuned to shift like old Fords (very sharp)
thanks Sir for nice easy explanation JazakAllah Khair
Yes they do. If you even look at the Accord forums here, quite a few people have had problems.
both are fuel guzzlers and very soon we all witness fuel price hike crossing PKRs. 130+ per litre or more in Pakistan. After US elections oil price shot up twice in 6 days.
Visual Inspection means nothing.
give it a physical inspection. take along someone who knows and can inspect and decide
CL-7/9 as available had tons of issue .
why don't you get a brand new car and call it a day?
CL7/CL9 will give you about 7-8 in city but the consumption improves considerably over highways so I can't imagine anything less than 12 on highway. I haven't taken mine to the highway too much though.
I really like to see the condition of interior in order to gauge how car's been kept and there are no interior pics of the Lahore one. The Multan one looks plain vanilla (just like mine).
The ones with more features have higher asking prices. But the more the features the more the complications considering they are very old cars. I personally can't be much bothered about features so I went for a plain one - very simple to maintain though. Also, if possible, try to go for CL9 instead of CL7 - why not get the bigger engine when consumption is pretty much the same?
Pictures can be deceiving, boss.
I experienced it just today. Please be careful. Don't hurry, even if Careem has only rash and need-for-speed drivers for you.
Start of 2019 I decided to check out a few Mark Xs. Was in the mood to trade my CL for that. I only checked out the ones which looked really good and whose owners were demanding high prices. Was bitterly disappointed after seeing a few of them - they were nothing like they looked in the pics.
