Bro Just to advise don't reuse Oil in newly built engine. It is highly not recommended. its worth to spend another 5-6 k and put new Oil.

Reason behind Used oil must contains deposit from OLD engine plus new engine itself add particals to it which will definitely not good for newly built engine.

Rest is you choice. Thread is going excellent.....

Bro its totally your decision but I will again say "Think twice before reusing it".

I was just insisting because I had faced very bad consequences of doing same thing whereas my that Oil was only used 200 KM.

Why to take risk after spending 100K-150 K just for another 6-7k?

You are spending so much on the car and using leppon filter. Just one word of advice be good to your car and yourself, leppon is badami baagh crap proven on this very forum to be uber crap with pictures!

Hope you are changing the head bolts, very very necessary dont believe me put them all on a level surface and show us the height difference between all of them and if there is none try to find the workshop manual for this engine find the tolerance of height allowed and secondly the proper torquing procedure. I am bearing the brunt of this step which wasn't done as per manual with a lot of pain I can assure you man!

@Tintin, what's the plan, I mean what parts are being replaced, what is the quality of those parts and lathe work, how much work is being done?
Also, who or what is leading this project, expertise of babaG, your own knowledge or the Toyota manual?

begs the question,

why wasnt it drained when the engine was intact? - removing the head allows debris and coolant etc to fall into the sump.

you can filter this oil with a fine paper to clean it out. I wouldnt use it in this engine though, use it in a bunch of CD70s etc.

Bhai... Watch the COMPLETE rebuild urself... As i mentioned earlier, mechanics use old parts if they are 50 to 60% OK in their eyes... and this is what causes loads of problems in future.
