great work, reminds me of the attention to detail i used to put into my civic back in the day. nothign beats the sound you get when you do it yourself,.. and the upgrade will last forever,.. unlike the pathetic "system" jobs that the shop guys do.

BTW what's the industry standard for crossovers nowdays?

@mohsin....although the s702p are not the best ofcourse...but i have never heard my tweeters make crackling sounds at high volume. maybe you listened with the settings all wrong or something...

waisay do u really think its a good comparison to be comparing Kenwood's to Polk Db's ? i mean NOT IN THE SAME LEAGUE AT ALL....

Imo the Db's are a Bit too Harsh... and the kenwood tweets crack badly at high volumes.. their Mids are awesome... There were a lot of other options for you to get besides Kenwood's u know ... so i'd say let the signature stay that way haha

thanks, they are close in price, 4.5k vs 5.8k rs, and that fact that i have both, makes me to compare them . will reserve my comments on kenwood for the time being, need more time, but yes, dB were very bright.

no standard as such, depends on the driver designs, there response and how well both the tweeter and midrange match each other, to have long enough overlay to make the transition transparent, and short enough to avoid detail loss.

2nd 3rd and 4th order designs are common, some use 1st order for price sake

like i said the mids on these are GREAT and will even become more pronounced once they break in...im just not up to the tweets...

rest assured they are not bright but can keep up with the mids at high volumes...

see if tht door plastic is not limiting the cone movement of the mids... i had this problem in my lancer.. had to cut then out inorder to let the cones move freely

i hve the oriel (6cd in dash) i wanted to upgrade the system .. dnt want to change the pre .. else i have to change the pannel .. for which i paid $$$ ... so is it a gud idea adding amp woofer and speaker to stock pre ... ??
