93 Nissan Sunny B13 Engine Swap

AssalamAlaikum Everyone, so as the title says I own a 93 B13 with cd17engine, It is a long story so please bear with me here..
Its very sad for me to tell you that the car is in very bad shape and has not moved in almost a year, the main reason of its being grounded was a problem with its wiring which made it unreliable, the car would shutdown intermittently and would not start and after some time it started and ran fine. to cut the story short no one here (Hyderabad) was willing to repair its wiring, so me being an Engineer (Metallurgist) and having sufficient knowledge in electronics started to go through its FSM and then finally took its engine wiring out and ALHAMDULILAH completely fixed it with 99% success last year and made a 300km trip without any problems... since then the car has not moved due to bunch of problems with it mainly lack of time and funds.

Now I have been planning its swap since its engine is one of its biggest problem, bear in mind I love diesel engines and cd17 is my favorite but since we do not have proper mechanics and quality diesel fuel here plus the engine has gone through so much so rather than rebuilding the diesel I wanted to swap a gasoline engine.
So in June/July 2015 started my research and wanted to swap GA series but then I saw some threads here of QG series and fell in love with the beast QG18.
So here we are now I need your precious advice on some questions whichare bugging me:

1.I want manual transmission is it easily available?
2.The main thing Manual transmission ECU and its pinouts for QG18?
2.why E-throttle is a major issue? Due to pedal or what?
3.If I get manual tranny then the hydraulic clutch will be easily installed or is it an issue in itself?
4.Fuel tank will be needed to change/upgrade? How fuel pump issue is best resolved?
5.Exhaust will be upgraded?
6.if you know QG Series prices in karachi please inform
rest will ask as the thread goes on

QG Is Available usually with AT Trannys....

Its Not An Easy Swap As GA series...you need a hell lot of things to make it work right...so before swapping....lighten up your electrican inside you and do ur homework and follow the whole EFI thing before throwing inn engine and sort wiring urself...else u will regret swapping

fuel tank need fuel pump...so u either cut and install or get EFi fuel tank(almost next to rare to find)

Exhaust Must Be Around 40-45mm...check the side and decide accordingly

DBW throttle ..u can face paddle issues...look for cable type version

hydraulic clutch can be installed..not an issue........just make sure u find pedal 1st

My personal advice is to look for GA15DE or GA16DE with complete wiring sensor and swap it instead of QG....QG swaps are good for later N16 Models...

1.. yes its easily available a few members have done this project as well

2..yes you will get with complete setup and with wiring ..depends where you are getting it from ..you will need expert to fit this engine ..its not simple like the old 1.6 and 1.5 versions

3..this wont be a problem ..can be solved

4... you need to have fuel pump ..same tank can be used

5.... you can keep the same piping from car ..replace the exhaust tip with new or kabli stock .....or new piping wont hurt either ..a 2 inch pipe with resonator and exhaust tip ......

Sir thanks for your valuable advice... I know its not going to be an easy swap but you know smooth seas never produce skilled sailors... I know that the ride will be bumpy with QG but the final product will be a joy! still I am not final on QG thats why I have made this thread to get as much info as I can. as long as homework is concerned I have some service manuals of QG but I haven't gone deep into those. I would love to have it with its manual trans RS5F70A which is rare as hell.... the available manual trans is RS530A i think which belongs to GA series. do you have any idea on pricing coz I saw a qg16 here in hyd and shopkeeper said 75k

as long as my knowledge is concerned the manual transmission available here is of GA series the RS5F30A and QG18 comes with RS5F70A which is more sturdy and it is rare but in karachi sometimes you can find things you can not imagine...

If you're a quick shifting and fast kinda driver your clutch plates will burn very fast in ga transmission.
The day i installed QG18de genuine tranny with 8.5 inch clutch plate, even after six months the clutch plate was like 7/10. So definitely don't go with a ga tranny.
You can rethink on your idea and go for a cd20 or cd20t If you're a diesel fan. I threw my cd20 out because i wanted quick acceleration.
Cd20 is something amazing.
It was fast, it had so much torque and used it with rough driving for 4 years.

Rest go through the threads QG18de is a monster.

yeah that's what I was talking about the trans, qg18 is all about torque and that poor ga tranny will be toast early, now that does not mean I am a fast driver but sometimes you need to show some power to those rollas...

I have driven diesel all my life, now want to change... currently have mehran and that thing is pathetic...

to be honest after giving serious thought to @ser_gtr advice I have looked into GA16DE and its also attracting me but I dont know why I am a bit skeptical about distributors....:S.

by the way I have followed all the recent swap threads silently! and can you confirm me that the trans you got is the one which comes with qg18de. its RS5F70A you can locate the no. on trans i guess correct me if I am wrong

This one.
It has a clutch plate diameter of 8.5 inches.

And this transmission comes in viscous lsd too. Im finding lsd tranny which is hard to find and this tranny is currently available in rawalpindi. Just checked it on weekend.

Im also not a big fan of ga because either you don't go for petrol swap, opt for diesel cd20 and if you're willing for petrol go for QG18de wire driven throttle.
There is nothing better than this engine.
Ga is like a little kid when compared with QG18de.
Even QG15 is faster than ga15-16de.

I got a lever from ga tranny that connects to wire.
And removed the master cylinder push arm on tranny and welded the lever on it from a heavy duty and high quality welding plant.. I hate clutch cylinder and don't have space in my car either for clutch cylinder.

Exactly so don't waste your money on ga. Go for QG18de and invoke your all energy in setting it up. It's not difficult, it's based on enthusiastic approach. You'll succeed in it somehow.

Yes exactly. Actually it's kinda extra maintenance. Bleed the clutch cylinder, and then fluid.
Clutch is abit hard on clutch cylinder. The setting i have made with wire is very smooth. Even a little ten year old can press the clutch it's so smooth.

I like quick shifting so it helps me. Im not saying clutch cylinder is that hard too but these things depend on how you feel comfortable.

Go directly to A.T Autos person name is Tahir. He is the only guy who got lots of Nissan Engine but you may find his demand/price very high. 2 to 3 months back I went there
GA15DE and GA15DS was around 60k complete
QG15DE was around 65k
QG18DE was around 80k
