I have a Honda maintained 9th gen civic with r18 in it. Vehicle has covered 130k kms. Still running on 10w30, did 13kml local 16 kml long, perfectly smooth and quiet engine.
One fine day, I took a uturn, I heard tak tak tak, it took me a few seconds to straighten the wheel and the check oil warning came. I immediately switched off the engine, popped the hood to find a hole in the block
After taking the engine out and opening it up, we discovered that the engine was perfectly healthy, one piston seized out of the blue, it's connecting rod broke and made 4 holes in the block.
Has anybody else ever heard or experienced anything similar
