1- It is good that there is a car to increase the competition. More cars shoukd be there to give consumers more choice.

2- Ciaz seems a good car w.r.t drive, comfort and fuel economy (as per users)

3- Ciaz is over priced, it was okish with the introductory price but the price hike has dug up it's grave.

4- Someone's money, someone's choice, we should not disrespect other's choices.

5- Suzuki is probably just testing ciaz here. If it is serious about ciaz then it'll start assembling it in Pak. Else with this price its future doesn't seem promosing.

Exactly bro, the future has been made unpromising by their own strategies. They should have given it a longer life by working in favour of its marketing and making it successful to start assembling it here and capture more market share.

As told by Khurram, it is not Grande but 1.8 CVTi. It lacks sunroof, climate control and paddle shifters. But offers hell lots of goodies as compared to altis 1.6

They might be struggling to sell this, but in my opinion it is the best bang for the buck in the Corolla lineup. I started from 1.3 AT, heard its underpowered. Then wanted 1.6 but couldn't afford Grande, was willing to give own money of around 150k for 1.6 and then it stuck that why not spend those 150k and get extra goodies and the power of 1.8 and economy of CVT.
The only drawback I can think of is the resale of this variant, but hey, life is too short to worry about resale. So I don't care about it.

And still an Altis 1.6 which is about the same as Ciaz rather slightly cheaper than Ciaz on road offers more stuff than Ciaz along with its market, future and company backup

And I always thought if 1.6 were available in 6 speed manual and cvt there wouldn't be any space for 1.8 and 1.8 cvt altis variants and 1.5 aspire.

If my info is right, the altis grande is also available without own and at immediate or I think 2 weeks almost delivery because of rumors of facelift

I get around 10.5-12 with AC all the time inside Lahore. On long, I get around 16 with cruise at 120 kph along with AC all the time.

I bought the car on the first day of its launch in Rawalpindi/Islamabad at its introductory price. it comes with manual transmission. I have driven it for about 9500kms since then and am very satisfied with the vehicle's overall performance. I also own a Toyota Corolla GLi however, I have found Suzuki Ciaz to be alot more comfortable and showing far better performance in every aspect except the resale value. I have been criticized by those around me, for buying a Suzuki with odd comments like it does not come with Ally rims and it doesn't have navigation etc. Interestingly enough these features are also not provided stock with GLi or City and one has to pay a premium to get it done. I got a fully functional, OEM fit android based GPS navigaton system with offline and online map support and 1080p resolution having dual cameras at a price of 24k from lahore. no addtional wiring was required as all wiring was already in place. I have also added LED fog lamps at a nominal price of 4k.
I have, however, not understood the pricing startegy of Pak Suzuky Motors, which has raised the price by 200k for no rational reason.I would suggest that they restore the introductory price and make the car accsiible at affordable price,

With respect to comfort while driving, I rate it better than city and Corolla. On fuel efficiency, I drive this to work daily from Chaklala to Islamabad blue area in peak traffic hours. It gives me between 16.9 to 17.5 km per liter with Ac running. On the same route a friend is using his Honda city 1.3 and has reported 12.5 km per liter. On long route between Lahore and Islamabad on speed of 100km per hour the car gave me 19.5km per liter and on 120 km per hour the consumption was reduced to 17.9
