Day-7 (19-07-2017)
Today we decided to stay at Murree and visit Murree area specially Kashmir point, governor house and Pindi point. After breakfast, first we went to visit Kashmir point. After reaching near governor house we parked our car at nearby road. Spend some time to view surrounding area and take photograph. Some 17 years ago when we visited this area it was a beautiful point and there were lot of flowers beside road around governor house. We walk around governor house road but now there were very limited flowers around road. To me it was not looking as beautiful as it was in my memory. Anyway, now there was a road train roaming around governor house for visitors to visit them surrounding road. We also used this train and visited surrounding road of Governor House. Train was good condition and kids enjoyed it. After some photograph, we went to Bagh-e- shaheedan. I disappointed to see its condition. It was most beautiful view point of Murree but now it was not. I was thinking something is missing here than I remembered there were small open huts for sitting and view nearby mountains but now these were not. Some huts were disappeared and a joohla was placed. Reaming huts were transferred into small cabins which were occupied by shop vendors. Nearby Kashmir mountains view were almost blocked due to these shops. I think its view is lost forever. We purchased some pakora, juices and cold drinks, enjoyed these sitting under an umbrella shed. After that we walk some distance and went to visit nearby PIA park, this proved little bit good place as park was in good shape. Spend some time in that park and relaxed. Now it was lunch time so we decided to go for lunch to a nearby restaurant named “Rock bistro” owned by PHA (Parks and horticulture Authority). Food was simple and fresh cooked, available at reasonable rates. I enjoyed their food. After taking lunch we came back to our apartment to rest. After an hour I asked my family to be ready to go Pindi point. My wife told me, our baby is tired and sleeping therefore we should postponed it. I said OK, but my sons were demanding to go so later on I decided to visit it along with my sons. Once again we ride on chair lift at Pindi point. When we reached down hill station, they announce that all persons are requested to come back to uphill after 15 minutes chair lift will be closed. After spending 10 minutes we returned back to up hill station. The shortest route to reach pindi point is mall road but it was closed for vehicles so we used Lawrence college road to reach there. On returning back I wanted to go through cuart road (bus stand) but army check post Jawans was not allowing us to use this road they also stopped another vehicle along with us. I parked my vehicle near check post and ask them why they are not allowing us? They replied “This road passes from army area and we don’t have pass to use this road but all the other vehicles were being allowed to use this road. I noticed they only stopped me and another car, both having registration plate of Karachi otherwise other cars were passing from check post after showing there documents. Check post in-charge behavior was clearly discrimination to us. Even He was not agree to see our documents, after some arguments I called to one of my colleague, whose brother is a senior army officer and told him situation. He wanted talk with check post in-charge, when I requested check post in-charge. Can He talk on my cell phone? He at once replied, we both can go by this road one by one. I thanked him and replied to my fried on cell no need to talk, He has allowed me.
Reached at apartment around 8:30 PM. After reaching at apartment, I went to enjoy dinner with my family at a restaurant. Tomorrow was the plan to go to Nathiagali.
