I've stopped getting too attached or too careful with washing the car. Today the car was washed after a month of rains and mud and all the stuff you can imagine getting on your car on city roads and highway.
First, I washed the microfiber lining car cover while it was on the car, a quick wash with the pressure washer only. Then I folded it and it in my car (it is somewhat waterproof so if can be folded so the inner lining is still dry after washing the top.
Then I power washed the whole car with water, followed by spraying foam on it with the foam lance. Then with the 2 bucket method, cleaned it with wash mitts without taking off the foam for extended lubrication and finally dried the car in quite a quick way with dying towels leaving some moisture and stuff on the car which I used to get all of before. But now I leave it there to dry on itself which doesn't form water spots either in such a limited quantity.
That's the whole process I followed today. Still took me an hour n half since it was extra dirty today but I didn't obsess over the minor details mentally as I'm getting more and more comfortable with the process.
